Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.
However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.
We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible -

In this case I think the best option should be Riolu, perhaps could have an alternative evolution for the seventh generation and almost justify a possible addition to the team of Serena / Ash, almost.
PS: Phantump that something similar could happen (which had a new evolution to the next generation) but I think it is a bit more likely to see a Riolu a Phantump given the material revealed in the next movie
I think he meant 'or' in place of '&'. Because even in Best Wishes Ash didn't catch six reserve pokemon, and I kind of doubt anyone truly expects him to go into overdrive all of a sudden. ^^;

Point take it but already know Ash catch Pokémon that his rivals have in the past & still can do it so don't cut Honedge out for a possible catch

Right at the start of the series I mentioned the Honedge line in my list of Pokemon I'd be happy with Ash getting, but I don't see it happening now Sawyer has one.
I dont see him getting one either, but Sawyer having one not being the reason.

Ash-Greninja vs Mega Sceptile already points a lot to Sawyer being the reason why Ash is not getting the Honedge line, or any of the Kalos Pokemon the Hoenn kid will get in this series. The two are suggested to have a grand battle in the end, and I don't think a mirror match really occurs that frequently in the Kalos League, anyway (especially because this one could end up being an all-out battle).
I'm sure that him getting his own Honedge has some chance of happening, but it's not my main expectation right now. I wouldn't be surprised if he just catches a Bergmite tho cuz at least that pokemon hasn't appeared in the anime itself yet.
Meh, even if Sawyer didn't have one himself, I would rather see our beloved Satoshi catch a Klefki after the movie premieres...

Hmm I don't mind Klefki but it doesn't really scream "Ash" if you know what I mean?
Bonnie has already bonded with one and it had full episode focused on it and one also evolved in it. That's why it will not be Ashes last mon.
If it's not going to be phantump then we'll just find out in the next info on upcoming episodes if a mon will be taking special interest by ash. Also phantump looks like a filler episode so it could be very likely that they won't get phantump to join Ashes team.
Well now that Monsieur Pierre's gone from the show, I could kind of see Klefki being captured. It's just that it doesn't look like much of a battler to me however since it's tiny.
I was always under the impression that movies are non canon. Meaning, Ash never catches, evolves any Pokemon in them, nor do his Pokemon learn new moves. So, I'd say the possibility of that happening is slim to none.
Most of the films are canon, but you're right that captures for Ash's group don't happen in them and I don't think that'll change in the Volcanion film. :3

I know it's a source of worry but I don't think the lack of a 6th capture by the "time" of the movie is a big deal. I think what we need to remember is that these movies are always very much saga-based. They don't seem to worry about the movies fitting correctly in the timeline between specific episodes anymore. (Not since the Mewtwo days, at least, but feel free to correct me) I mean, as we've seen in the past, evolutions have sometimes been wrong and captures have even been early (so the release dates are an especially unreliable indicator) So, I'd think that this specific movie is representing the XYZ arc. As in, the XYZ arc with the Zygarde and Team Flare shenanigans we're currently seeing.
I'd say that once Wulfric and the Flare plot are done, we'll get more details about what I'd call the "Kalos conclusion" arc, like the Kalos League, the 6th slot/Goodra return/whatever. I think a good indicator is the opening, which only covers up to the Wulfric and Zygarde parts. From a writing standpoint, I'd say it's a way to make sure that things don't slow down too much once it's time to start prepping for the League.
