Remember when we said that Pokemon are our pets, partners, and Best friends?



Yeah, it turns out that they can also be our food. If you think about it, there are very few "real" animals in the world of Pokemon.

That means people have to get sustenance from somewhere, right?

And even if they're vegetarians, it's important to note that there are a whole mess of Grass-type Pokemon who look like they'd pair pretty well with a nice vinaigrette.

The more you think about it, the more it makes sense.
Not only are we pitting these intelligent creatures against each other in battle, but we're also devouring them! In one of a Episode of Kanto...Ash is Invited to a Party in which a Crab was Given as food...And Same is When Ash and his party Goes to bill then Prof. Oak call ash and Say that he is cooking Something Idk which is made up of a Crab Pokemon :3

Friendship means nothing when you've gone broke from losing too many battles!!

That's when your favorite Miltank starts looking like it could use a bath in Worcestershire sauce...

And now that we're hungry, it's time to get a Tauros steak with a Togepizza and Ganger Dew :'D !

Yeah, I think that was obvious from the earlier episodes. Ash wanted to eat the Magikarp that James bought and I remember an episode in which they were discussing Farfetch'd as a delicacy. SlowpokeTails are also a delicacy item, so...yeah.

I think food is slowly becoming more and more berry and sweet based.

In OS and AG, Pokémon ate cat and dog food-like food, as well as PokéBlocks for physical traits like Beauty.
In DP and BW, some Pokémon food got changed to Poffins after a while. They were originally used for Contests, but slowly became the main source of food of Pokémon. They'd still eat the cat-dog styled food, but not as much.
In XY, Pokémon AND humans can eat PokéPuffs and they will probably become the most sought after food for both species.
