Pokémon 3000

OOC notes will be done in Orange. These will be any warnings or suggestions I have to the players as an OOC entity. IE: Telling "Judy" that she's moving too fast and is rushing the plot would be an OOC note.

Plot notes will be done in Yellow Green. Plot notes can be anything from explaining a certain situation a bit more "in-depth", or simply telling a player that his Pokémon can evolve in the next battle (whether it be with a wild PKMN or traner's. This is extremely important. Take note that it is me who decides when your Pokémon will evolve.

IC will be in whatever color is standard for your Serebii layout. It will be narrations of NPCs, etc. I will be playing all NPCs who are of importance to the plot. If you wish to encounter a random trainer in the woods, by all means act as that NPC, but Gym Leaders, Roman Forge, and a few others, are exclusively my NPCs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So the games begin. I don't have much to say OOCly, except make sure you pay attention to all of the rules, etc. If you want to do something which you think I may not approve of, but it is not specified in the rules, please PM me before doing so, asking permission. I don't want to be your parents, don't get me wrong, I just want to make sure tha I have control over the story, and that it doesn't begin to break apart through arguments, or through myself having to struggle vigorously to get it back on track. That having been said...let's begin.

Seeing as your characters had a specific order of recieving their Pokémon, and all of them "could" have left (though they didn't have to) immediately, there is a chance that they're all in different locations. Before I cover that, however, I'd like you all to know tha your access to your PC's, and your Pokémon Storage Systems, have been denied on both your personal and all public devices, meaning you cannot at anytime withdraw a Pokémon you'd previously caught from your P.C. Naturally, your six, or however many Pokémon you'd had on your person, have been taken as well. It is 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20th, 3006. Your may play your characters until 3:00a.m. on Wednesday, June 20th, 3006, until my next post will come. All characters could likely make it to Vermillion City by then. Your characters have also been instructed that they are not to utilize any unnatural means, such as an automobile or aircraft, to aid in their journey. The only acception to this is flying or surfing Pokémon, whom must be large enough to support the trainer who must ride them, and can only keep moderate flight for three hours, travelling roughly fifty miles. Anyway, Justin Conway, Dave Glacier, an Jake Hensfiel, could well be halfway through the forest (taking whichever routes they please) by now. Jeffrey Lanstan, Daniel Foster, and Izzie Lucia would be only a quarter of the way through the forest, and the remaining four would be only departing, and likely not have made it past the gardens of the manner yet. This is all, of course, assuming that everyone left immediately after recieving their Pokémon and their items being taken. Whether or not they do is up to the players discression.

No IC yet, most of it was covered in the narrative of the Sign-Up thread. May this RP live strong and long.

~~~What does "no IC" mean?~~~
Justin had wanted to get a head start but he also wanted to travel with someone so he had stayed in the forrest with his charmander. He was waiting near a large stream with his feet in the water when suddenly a head popped out. "Aahh!" Justin yelled.
"Sloooowww" The head cried. Justin stopped yelling and looked at it closely. It was a slowpoke Justin realized. I am soo goint to catch my first pokemon right now! he thought to himself as he threw the pokeball that contained his charmander. It pooped out as Justin challenged the slowpoke. "Charmander, use tackle!" Justin cried as charmander hit the slowpoke who had just began to climb out of the water. The slowpoke fell over and Justin threw a pokeball at it. It wiggeled twice then it fell still. "Yes, the first pokemon I ever caught!" He said.
"Nice catch," Izzie said holding her Chikorita. "But you could've been a bbit more creative. Never mind. I just watch too many contests."
Izzie smiled at the boy and his Charmander. But she wasn't going to battle him due to her Pokemons type disadvantage.
"Nice Charmander. I take it you like Dragon Pokemon?" Izzie inquired as she put her Chikorita down.
Her Chikorita went right up to the Charmander and greeted it. Greeted it by Headbutting it.
"Chikorita!" Izzie scolded, "Don't do that! Sorry. It's her way of saying hello."
Izzie quickly scooped up the Chikorita, afraid that the Charmander would use a Fire attack.
Dave leaves his room with his squirtle along his side. They went near a low grass area near where another trainer had just caught a new pokemon. "Well, we will be doing the same" Dave said to his Squirtle. They walked just a few steps when a Spearow appears. "Lets have a little fight, eh buddy?" Dave said to Squirtle. "Go tackle attack" The pokemon ran and jumped to hit the flying pokemon, only to have it fly up and miss. "go water gun" Dave said as squirtle launched from its mouth water at a high speed to knock the Spearow down. This making its wings wet, would affect its flying ability. "perfect Squirtle" Dave said as squirtle gave the thumbs up. "Now finish it off, with one more tackle attack" The flying pokemon was trying to dry itself to get itself up into the air, but it was too little to late, as the turtle pokemon rammed into the body of the spearow and knocking it down. The flying pokemon feeling lost, just ran off with a wet body. "Good job squirtle, you did a good job for your first time in a fight." Dave said in a smile as the two of them continue into viridian forest.
Jeffery walked around an isolated part of Viridian Forest, the canopies of the large forest green trees imitating nighttime for its inhabitants, even if it was only early afternoon. The path he was taking was filled nicely with grass, high enough for small Pokemon to hide in, yet he still hadn’t encountered any wild Pokemon or trainers. With his hands folded behind his head, the sleeves of his oversized jacket falling to the bend of his elbow, he was throwing slow cautious glances left and right with a look of disinterest. Finally, he allowed his eyes to land on his Mudkip, the mudfish Pokemon looking left and right with eager curiosity as if he were five years old inside a newly opened toy store.
The mauve Pokemon didn’t seem all that bright, rushing towards the source of a noise when he heard one eagerly and one time actually trying to climb a tree like a Persian when he saw a sandy nest of Pidgey eggs. He wondered how Pokemon would mature in behavior and such briefly… before being sent into the throes of laughter when his water-type ungracefully managed to slam its rather large head into a tree and grabbed his head in an unsuccessful attempt to ease the pain.
Kindly, the short boy bent down on one knee to examine Mudkip, still chuckling slightly. “You’ll be fine. Just, for solid objects,” Jeff tapped the tree Mudkip had hit with enough strength to produce a hollow sound, trying to emphasize objects in question, “lets not run into it with your head. That’s how people lose brain cells. Don’t know about Pokemon, but I don’t want to gamble.” He picked the small Pokemon up and hoisted it onto his shoulders, smiling brightly.
“Probably be better for you to stay up here.”
"Thanks" Justin said to Izzie for complamenting on his chikorita.
Justin then threw the pokeball containing his newly caught pokemon, slowpoke. The ball landed on the ground and a flash lit up the dark forrest. When it dissapeared a pink pokemon with four legs and a tail with a white tip sat there.
"Slooooowwwpoke" It said. "Hey slowpoke, Im going to name you Paco!" Justin said looking down proudly at the pokemon.
Kris
Whitest Kid U'Know.
"Paco? I used to have a Mightyena named Paco. Well, my aunt did, actually. But you get the point," Kris said, who had been keeping quiet most of the time. Her Torchic looked at Charmander, then at Chikorita, and said "Tor torchic!" happily. She seemed glad to see other Pokemon with the same...experience as her own.
She hopped up onto a log and began to walk, but fell over, hitting a Taillow.
"Tail! Taillow taill!" the Taillow said. It had blue feathers, except around its head, where it had glossy red feathers. Its' shiny beak could open very wide, and its' eyes showed how determined it was. On its stomach, the feathers were snow-white. Its talons were sharp, black, and yellow-clawed. Taillow were known to never back down from a battle, and this one was no exception.
"Taillow!" Taillow cried as it used a Quick Attack, knocking Torchic straight into a bush.
"Torchic! We can do this! Use Scratch!" Kris said.
Torchic slowly sat up, shook herself, and ran up to Taillow, her claw making a direct hit.
Taillow didn't look tired at all. "Tai! Tail! Taillow tail!" It used a Tackle on Torchic, which made her fall backwards, onto her back.
"Are you okay? If you are, use an Ember!" Kris said. She really wanted this Taillow, and didn't know what she would do if she couldn't get it.
Torchic stood up, groggy, but managed to use an Ember.
Taillow began to look a little more tired. "Tail!" It used Peck on Torchic, making her more tired as well.
"One more Scratch!" Kris commanded.
"Torchic." Torchic did as she was told, and Taillow fell backwards, clearly worn out. But, luckily, it hadn't fainted.
"Alright Torchic! Great job!" Kris said. "Now...Go Pokeball!"
She threw an empty Pokeball towards the Taillow. It popped open, and a red light came out of it and surrounded the Taillow, sucking it in. The ball started shaking violently.
Ping. Ping. Ping. Click! were the Pokeball's sounds.
Finally, it stopped moving, meaning that Taillow had been caught!
"Wow...I...I caught a Pokemon!" Kris said excitedly.
Picking up the Pokeball, she let the Taillow out with a blinding white light. As soon as she finally saw her new Pokemon, it sneezed.
"What's wrong, are you allergic to dust like me?" kris asked. "Oh, wait! That's it! I'll name you Dusty!" She stroked Dusty, who had accepted his new name quickly, before sitting down to pet Torchic. Taillow landed on Kris' shoulder softly.
"You did great, Torchic! I'm so proud of you. That was a great first battle, wasn't it?"
Torchic nodded and replied, "Tor tor torchic!" before rushing off to see Charmander, Chikorita, and Paco. Dusty swooped down after her.
Kris turned to Izzie and Justin.
"Nice catch. I guess I should try to catch a Pokemon too. Lure one here Chikorita," Izzie instructed her Chikorita as it used Sweet Scent (Is it allowed to know Sweet Scent at this stage?)
A Caterpie came out of the grass and Chikorita hit it hard with a Tackle attack before waiting for her owners instructions.
"Well I guess that was what I was going to say..." Izzie drifted her voice off then commanded, "Use another Tackle!"
The Caterpie Tackled the Chikorita at the same time, causing them to collide.
"Not good," Izzie muttered before commanding, "Hit it again with Tackle!"
Chikorita attacked the Bug Pokemon and hit her target.
"Look out!" Izzie shouted as the Caterpie launched a String Shot that Chikorita doged.
"One more Tackle! Go!" Izzie commanded, very excited at this point.
Like all the previous Tackles, this Tackle hit the Caterpie with full force.
"Yes!" Izzie exclaimed with joy as she jumped up into the air.
"Pokeball! Go!" she shouted as she threw a Pokeball at the weakened Caterpie.
Ding. Ding. Dong. Izzie jumped into the air as she had caught her Pokemon.
"Oh yeah!" she shouted then ran over to her Chikorita and hugged it, "You were so awesome!"
"Chiko chiko," Chikorita replied. Now if anyone knew how to speak Chikorita they'd know that she had said, 'Caterpie's are easy to catch.'
Izzie turned to Justin and Kris and said, "I know Caterpie aren't as good as Slowpoke or Tailow, but what do you think?"
Alex Robertson wandered aimlessly out of the building, his brand new Treeko at his side. He was still in shock over the man - Roman Forge's - announcement. Here he was, the ultimate anti-pokemon boy in the world, and he had just become a trainer. He glanced down at the pokemon at his feet.
"No offence to you, but I really don't want to do this," he growled, "All I need you for is to hunt down that cursed Scyther." His leg twitched in pain and he grunted as he fought to keep it in check.
Treeko looked up at Alex in confusion, unsure what his new trainer meant by his words. Seeing the hurt look on the pokemon's face, Alex forced a weak smile onto his face.
"Sorry, Treeko - it's not your fault. I'm just not used to being around pokemon, that's all," he explained. Treeko's face broke into a grin, and it bounded up into his arms, startling Alex for a moment before he recovered his composure.
"Well, I guess you're all right," he said, heading away from the sounds of the other trainer's voices, "This might work out after all."
((OOC: Poor battle scene alert))
Mudkip turned out to be naïve and silly, having the mental capacity of a five-year-old child. The mudfish Pokemon could not sit still for more than two minutes, often times jumping off Jeff’s shoulder to approach something he was curious about, and otherwise he was shifting on Jeffery’s shoulder to better gaze in wonderment at his environment, it’s slippery fin of a tail harmlessly brushing against Jeff’s cheek (although he had to admit that it was irritating.) That’s why, when the weight of the creature was still on his shoulder but its tail had stop brushing against Jeffery’s face, he had to glance at the said Pokemon in concern.
Its head was tilted, looking at something in a tree with an awestruck look on its beady eyes. “Hm?” Lifting an eyebrow, Jeffery followed Mudkip’s gaze to a particular branch, a small bird perched at the edge. For the most part, the feather of the aviator was brown, but cream painted the edge of its wings and the bird’s chest. The dark eyes of the bird was glaring down at Jeffery and his Pokemon.
“Pid-gey!” The bird cawed with a scratchy quality, anger evident in its eyes. Without warning, the Pidgey flew off the branch, heading straight towards Jeffery and Mudkip. Thinking quickly, Jeffery ducked before the aviator hit him square in the face, securing Mudkip in his arms so he didn’t fall off in Jeff’s swift movements. Setting down the water type, the hazel-haired trainer turned to the bird, his Mudkip mimicking his actions.
“Dangerous.” Mused Jeff monotonously. The Pidgey was on the move again, leveling near the ground and beginning to flap its wings quickly, producing a strong enough wind to kick dirt up from the ground to hit Jeffery and Mudkip in the face. With no other option, the brown haired boy lifted his forearm up to protect his eyes, obscuring his vision at the same time.
“Mud!” Above the horrendous sound of the speeding wind in his ear, Jeffery’s eyes became alert when he heard his Pokemon’s anguished cries. Taking a chance, Jeff lowered his forehead… Something he found out to be regretful as he violently swore, covering his eyes with his hands, pieces of dirt stinging the surface of them.
“Kip! Mud! M-mud! Mu-mu-mudkip!” Jeffery continued to listen to Mudkip’s pained cries, taking deep breaths between his teeth to ease his own pain. “Mud! Mud! Kip! Mud! Kip!”
“I can’t help you Mudkip! JUST USE YOUR HEAD AND TACKLE IT!” Shouted Jeffery loudly, accepting that he was helpless in this situation.
Gradually, the cries from Mudkip became less frequent and Jeffery began to hear un-birdly grunts over the dying wind. The dirt that was being pelted at Jeffery, thanks to the strong winds, lessened until it too died all together. Jeff daringly peeked out of his left eye when the sound of heavy wind stopped and cries from Mudkip and the Pidgey ceased. He saw Mudkip in an alert position, feet braced and chest rising and falling at an accelerated rate. And after searching for a little bit, saw the Pidgey had retreated to a branch, having many visible wounds on its wings and chest enough to ensure it wouldn’t flee.
Jeff stood up slowly, his right eyes still shut entirely and his left one not opened larger than a squint. He pulled out the bi-colored sphere known as a pokeball, throwing it at the bird and smiling somewhat when it cracked open in half, sucking the Pidgey in a bright white light before closing again. Focusing on the ball entirely, he noted the shaking it did before a finalized beep signaled a successful capture. Jeffery plucked Mudkip from the ground as he made his way to the pokeball, pocketing the sphere with a satisfied smile.
Sitting down against a tree with Mudkip in his lap. He rubbed the water Pokemon’s head affectionately. “I don’t know how, but good job, Muddy,” Jeffery complimented, pulling out his pokeball, “you should rest.” With a push of a button, Mudkip was gratefully returned to its pokeball to rejuvenate a little. Laying his head against the trunk of the tree, Jeffery sighed, closing his eyes completely. He imagined they were red and swollen, a hideous sight, but there was no way he could check without a reflective surface. His clothes were crumpled and messy, dirt caught in the threads, similar to his now unruly hair.
“Owww, my eyes hurt,” whined Jeffery lazily.
"Well...Caterpie may not be so powerful now, or when they evolve into Metapod, but when it becomes a Butterfree, it will be strong. I'm pretty sure it learns Confusion, but I can't remember, and that is a pretty decent attack," Kris said, looking at Torchic, Dusty, Paco, Charmander, and Chikorita, who were chatting about something or another.
"It looks like they're all friends already!" Kris said, feeling a sense of pride for catching her first Pokemon. "That's probably good, isn't it?" She jumped a little when Torchic let out a loud laugh after Dusty had apparently told a joke.
Dusty sneezed, causing the other Pokemon to move away from him slightly. Dusty looked hurt at what his friends had done. "Tail, tail, taillow." He hung his head. Torchic looked as if she felt sorry for him, so she said, "Tor tor tor torchic!" and looked at the other Pokemon, who didn't have a response. Torchic beckoned towards Dusty with her head, and the other Pokemon knew what to do. they moved back to their original spots and started chatting again.
"So...should we get a move on?" kris asked Izzie and Justin.
"Sure, lets go to the first town and get our first badge! I hope I win, or I'll be pretty upset" Justin said to Kris and the others.
"Hey, are we going to travel with each other? I would be sad and lonely by my self" He said with a frown. He looked over at Paco and his charmander and realized he forgot to name it.
"Hey charmander, I bet you want a name too. Ok, Im going to call you......Zuzu!" He said with a smile.
"So thats Paco the slowpoke and Zuzu the charmander. I just know you guys are going to be the best pokemon ever!" Justin yelled. He returned paco but left zuzu out of his pokeball.
Kris
Whitest Kid U'Know.
"Me too, so I guess I'll travel with you," Kris said. "Oh! I forgot to name my Torchic!" Looking down at Torchic, Kris tried to think of a good name. "I know! I will name you...uh...Ciner! Yes, Ciner. What do you think about that?"
Torchic glanced up and said, "Torchic!" which sounded like a yes to Kris.
"Alright, then you are now Ciner!" Kris pat Ciner for a few seconds before standing up again.
Ciner was overjoyed at this, and hopped around excitedly, almost running into Dusty.
"Tai taillow!" he said, onviously mad at Ciner for almost knocking him down. He flew up just in time, though, and swooped straight upwards, did a loop-de-loop in the air, then coming down and perching himself on Kris' shoulder, happily crying "Taillow!"
"Oh, you're such a show-off, Dusty," Kris said shaking her head. "So, should we get going or not?"
Alex and Treeko wandered through the forest, the little green pokemon now resting on Alex's left shoulder. Every so often, still hearing the voices behind him, Alex would increase his pace - he had no wish to be caught up by the bunch of kids on his tail, who would most likely be all "let's be friends and stay together forever!".
"Say, Treeko, what are your attacks?" he asked. Reaching down, the pokemon tapped a button on Alex's Pokedex, which sprang into life with a low hum.
Treeko, the device said, the wood gecko pokemon. Treeko's attacks: pound, quick attack, absorb.
"Hmm, not bad," Alex said as he glanced up at his new partner, "You seem pretty powerful. Want to test out your skills in a real battle?"
Treeko nodded its assent, and Alex turned on his heel, ready to confront the goody-goody trainers approaching behind him.
"Wow, my first pokemon" he said as he leaned on a large tree. "Well, best have a look at my pokemon" he said looking at the pokeball. He examined the pokeball. He had only saw these in museums and his grandads old movies from when he was young. He tossed the red and white ball from hand to hand. Then finally he threw the ball at the floor. "GO" he shouted. A stream of red light came bursting out of the ball before leting out a pokemon. The pokemon stood at about a foot tall and was yellow and had bright red cheeks. "Hey i recognise you, youre a pikachu arnt you".He asked. The pikachu rubbed its nose and twitched a couple of times. Daniel removed his mask to show pikachu his real face. "PIKA"!! said pikachu looking confused.
"Come on then pikachu, weve got an adventure to go on.
"Lets try out you're battle power. Errr, now lets see. Hmmmm, use thundershock on that tree. Said daniel to the small pikachu.
"Pika, pika, PIKA". Tiny sparks flutered from the pikachus cheeks but nothing enough to harm even a caterpie.
"Oh this could take some time". sighed daniel putting his helmet back on.
Pretty good so far. Porygon, please be extremely careful when posting, making sure that it's over six lines at all times. You're pretty close in several of your posts. Also, catching a Pokémon is not just attacking it once and throwing a ball at it. A pidgey wouldn't be weakened by a single attack, not enough for an old-school Pokéball to actually harnass it, so keep that all in mind. And "No IC" meant that I didn't have any NPCs to roleplay in character at the time, for whomever asked. Please make sure you PM me and ask if you wish to catch a Pokémon, no matter how common it is, it will help keep order to the thread. For future referrance, characters who make it to Pewter City and believe they are ready to battle for their badge should PM me beforehand, seeing as I will be NPCing the Gym Leaders. It will give me a heads up, just incase, you know? Also, one last thing. Please do not conduct any player vs. player battles (between actual characters) until I can put a specified format in the Café. I'm not sure how I want to do it yet, so suggestions would be greatly appreciated (through PM, not through the RP prz.)
The trainers have all set off in an attempt to mock the "Old Ways" of training, taking a journey of epic and monumental proportions where they might discover themselves. At this point and time everyone should be making there way towards Pewter City, where they'll battle for their first League Gym Badge. Night has come and gone, and by the looks of everyone, the trainers have decided to camp out in the forest surrounding Dirge's Estate to the West of Saffron City. It is now 8:00 am on Wednesday, June 21st. Feel free to roleplay your characters up until 3:00am on Thursday, June 22nd. I do have an in-character NPC addition, so please feel free to interract (but not bunny) with him, seeing as he will be of importance to the Plot.
The stagnant morning air was refreshing to the youthful male who's determined strides carried him along the path through the forest west of Saffron City. He moved with relative silence, the soles of his combat-esque boots grazing the foliage beneath him, staining the lower seems of his massive, obsidian-hued parachute pants with morning dew.
Those who laid eyes upon him would guess that he was around nineteen years of age, standing just under six feet tall with an atheletic physique. Along with the black, belled parachute pants he wore a vest of metallic gold, thick and cargo-like in material with an assortment of pockets and pouches, including an Advance Ball over his right pectoral. It was opened down the center, exposing his corrugated abdomen, also giving sight to a small golden trinket suspended by a barbell from his lower belly button - an odd piercing, to say the least. He wore the latest PokéGear on his right wrist, an assortment of golden rings which clanged with every movement on his left. His hair was worn short and spiked, an albino white, contrasting his bright emerald-colored eyes.
"It's a beautiful morning," he whispered under his breath, stopping briefly to tilt his head back, casting his gaze beyond the canopy ahead at the multi-colored morning sky, "I wouldn't want you to miss it," he continued, cupping the Advance Ball at his pectoral in his hand (both of which were concealed beneath fingerless gloves) and sending it spinning toward the ground. It spewed out the standard glob of light blue energies (accustomed to the Advance Ball), which quickly took shape and solidified into a small, teddy-bear Pokémon with a halfmoon shap cresting it's forehead. It held a paw up curiously by it's maw, black beady eyes gleaming curiously at it's trainer. "Teddi?" it seemed to question.
Raven, as that is what this trainer has come to have been called, only smiled in response, opening his arms out wide in display, inhaling the stagnant air, smelling heavily of dew and moisture. "Like I said, it's a beautiful morning!"
With that, he continued on, his Teddiursa following just a few feet behind, taking in the surroundings with utmost curiousity.
Pewter city, the next stop. for my badgeDave thought as his squirtle was just walking beside him. The rumble of the turtle's stomach proved that walking into a forest with nothing to do but keep going till your out, can take it out of you. "Squirrtlle" It said rubbing its belly. "Fine, we'll eat now" Dave said stopping and putting his backpack down. He opened it to reveal his first week supply of food he had gotten from home becuase for the rest of the time he was to fend for himself. The 2 of them shared some of the fodo that they had gotten and were full in no time. "Ah finaly, I guess it was true, I did need to eat" Dave said lying down. At the same time squirtle was just eating and smiling.
Dave suddenly got up and remembered something. He ransacked his backpack till he found his laptop with was given to him just a few days before he left. He opened it and was typing in something which brought them into a tv screen. Squirtle seemed a little amazed at what Dave was using, being that he hasn't seen one much like it before. Dave turned into the station that was giving a pokemon battle for a championship in another region that was unfamiliar to him. "well, Squirtle, Oh and can I call you by another name?" dave asked while squirtle just nodded. "I'm going to call you Kamex from now on is that okay?" Dave asked again, when to repeat, Squirtle nodded. "Okay, and now then, lets watch this match. It is a town championship and it seems to be from Johto, though I'm not sure" Dave said putting the laptop down so the both of them could be watching it.
Daniel woke up early with his newly aquired pikachu by his side. He didnt have anything to sleep on so he slept on the bare ground.
"Argh, my clothes are all wet from the ground" sighed daniel.
He stood up, brushed his cothes down with his hands and taped pikachu on the back to wake him.
"Pika, pika pika" yawned pikchu
"Come on, wake up. We've got to get moving. Said daniel softly.
Daniel reached into his bag and pulled out a map.
"I wished i was alowed to use technology of today instead of this stupid paper map. Who uses paper anyway." He exclaimed "If we set of...North now we could just make it to vermilion......which way is north.
Just then a sort of honking sound came from high up.
"Wow" daniel said "Flock of wingull. Hey, i have an idea pikachu. If we follow those wingull, it may lead us to the sea at vermillion. We could get there by sunset. C'mon pikachu". Said daniel. Pikachu looked confused but was willing to follow.
;227; Derryk walked out of the manor, his Totodile, who he had christened Tsunami, by his side. He took off his backpack and pulled out the bicycle that he had used to get there. Suddenly Tsunami started jumping up and down trying to bite the tire. Derryk picked up the little crocodile and scolded him. Derryk got on the bicycle, placed Tsunami on his lap and rode off.
"I bet the other Trainers have already caught some Pokemon. They probably nabbed the first Pokemon they saw," Derryk thought. "We're given ten irreplaceable Poke Balls, and they waste them on the first thing they see," he thought, expanding on the previous thought.
After a while cycling he saw the other Trainers up ahead. Being the loner he was, he promptly switched to the gear appropriate for forest terrain and swerved into the forest so he would avoid contact. He was intent on delaying the first contact as much as possible, since even he admitted that his social skills were truly pathetic and he wanted to avoid embarrassment. He looked behind him to see where the others were, and exhaled in relief when he saw they were just small pinpricks. He then turned out of the forest out onto the main path.
Some hours later when the sun had started to set Derryk had arrived at one of the specially built cabins for travelers to sleep in.
"Guess I better set up camp," he said to no one in particular. He went in the cabin and got out his sleeping bag from his pack. He got in, and when he saw that Tsunami was already asleep Derryk leaned over and whispered "Goodnight, Tsunami" in it's ear, recalled it and closed his eyes.
"Sure!" Izzie agreed. "I'll travel with you two too! And I think Buterfree does learn some good attacks. Hope so anyway."
Izzie started stroking Chikorita's leaf as she liked the nice smooth feeling. And it smelled nice.
Such a lovely leaf, Izzie thought with admiratoin. I would scream if it ever got damamged.
"So first Gym it is?" Izzie just to be sure.
