It's entirely up to the hand that the production team has been dealt. My hope is that the semi-finals are three episodes long and each battle is eight 1.5 episodes or Carne looses her battle against Dande in the first episode and were get two episodes dedicated to Satoshi versus Shirona, but we'll see. Heck, if we're lucky Tomiyasu and friends convinced the production committee to allow them to keep the 2019 series going throughout all of November and December. It's unlikely but it's at least better than starting a new series in the middle of November after the unfortunate business that has affected the series up to this point.

Eh, we'll see. At the very least I'm expecting one more Iwane episode and then an episode with freelancers for Satoshi versus Dande.

If the semi-finals are 6v6 and Leon vs Diantha is only 1 episode, we definitely won't see a full battle.

The Episode will likely start from mid-battle where see Diantha down (3-4 Pokemon) and with Leon likely losing 1-2 (Dragapault and Rilaboom the two we've seen him use before) and he'll probably finish off the last 3-2 of Diantha's team with Charizard.

Something similar to Alain vs Remo back in the Kalos Leagues.

There's no way they can fit an entire 6v6 episode in 1 episode. Unless we have Leon basically one shot more than half of Diantha's team with a single attack.

I'm glad about 6v6 Battles, but it only makes me more mad that they made Lance lose against Diantha.
Diantha's full team isn't interesting at all. I'm just expecting her XY Champion Battle team. I do have some silent hope that they may replace Hawlucha (since we've had enough of Hawluchas - Korrina's, Bea's, Ash's) with some surprise mon she doesn't use in the games, but I don't really count on that. Seeing Lance's full team would be much more interesting, given all the possibilities from various games.

We keep seeing Dragon type specialists over and over.
Iris, Drasna, Raihan and even Lance.
Plus, even Cynthia has and will use 2 Dragons. Even Ash has 2 Dragon types and even Leon has a Dragapult.

What's even the point of having one more Dragon-Type Specialist with a full team of Dragons?

Cynthia was given a Kommo'o likely due to the connection with Pokemon Masters. Would be interesting if Diantha is given a Keldeo similarly.

Now that we know that Ash vs Cynthia will be 6v6, it makes me wonder even more why Gengar was used against Steven instead of Sirfetch’d if Ash isn’t going to use G-Max.

They ignored the poor fella for 2.5 years and now he’s been in the battles against Volkner, Marnie, Raihan, Paul and Steven.

I like that he’s given finally the credit he deserves, but Sirfetch’d could have used it even more.

They can. Leon just need at least 3 or maybe 2 Pokémon to defeat Diantha.

Yes but that battle was Brandon absolutely "destroying" Paul with the latter getting agitated and feeling helpless. This would be a little extreme to do to Diantha, considering Leon's battle against Alain.

Even if Leon won that battle fairly easily, the show never explicitly indicated that Leon absolutely crushed Alain with the latter being completely helpless (Like the Paul vs Brandon battle).
We also see Alain get the better of G-Max Rilaboom, one shot one of Leon's Pokemon and at least get the better of Leon in some of the exchanges.

I think the Diantha battle would be similar to this.

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers initially decided to do the Will-o-Wisp + Gengar (And then have Gengar G-Max and use Max Flare in the Steven fight), only to realize later that Will-o-Wisp doesn't turn into Max Flare.

This would also explain why they initially included a Dynamax clip of Ash in the Master Class intro preview which was literally the only clip that was not used in the first round of the Tournament.

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers initially decided to do the Will-o-Wisp + Gengar (And then have Gengar G-Max and use Max Flare in the Steven fight), only to realize later that Will-o-Wisp doesn't turn into Max Flare.

This would also explain why they initially included a Dynamax clip of Ash in the Master Class intro preview which was literally the only clip that was not used in the first round of the Tournament.

This makes sense, and would also explain the weird reaction Steven had when Gengar used Will-o-Wisp. The “A Fire type move?!” really seemed out of place and would make more sense if they intended to use G-Max Gengar and Max Flare in this battle.

This isn't expecting much. A 1-episode full battle that goes to the wire would be literally unprecedented. It's possible only if Ash beats Cynthia comfortably, which is unlikely.
