The world of pokémon. Filled with excitement and adventure, Ash and his friends Brock and Misty, travel the world, with Ash aspiring to be a pokémon master... but we don't like that story anymore. We at Pokémon decided to actually let years pass, and three years after that, out new story begins.

Run by Lance of the Elite Four himself, the Pokémon Battle Academy has become the most talked about thing in every region. Trainers from around the globe have gathered at Slateport City in Hoenn, just to enter this facility. It is mainly designed for medium level trainers, with tutors, and many battling classes alike. Beginners are also welcome, with the simplest classes and specially trained tutors. Specialised contest teachers are also present at the academy to teach aspiring co-ordinators the basics surrounding combinations and appeals. Teachers are hand picked by Lance himself, with the idea of Strategy, and Power in mind. The Battle Academy definately is something that an aspiring trainer does not want to miss out on.

However, Lances true intentions in the creation of the academy are spread amongst rumours. They say that Lance is looking for one trainer, who he will call upon to do him 'a favour'. Other rumours say that Lance will be holding a tournament, and winner gets a shot at the elite four of any region he/she chooses. There are many other theory's surrounding this, but one not well known one holds alot of truth.

A secret organisation, known as The Crusade, have recently come out of hiding. They're intentions in the past were to revive a certain pokémon, which was held in a fossil. Now this may seem simple to ordinary Fossil reviving technology, but this one was different. It required three gems, or 'Relics', to be able to revive this pokémon. Its power was said to rival the power of Arceus, with the ability to change its type and resist attacks of certain types. Its power however was not as great as Arceus', and they modified its genetic makeup. Special forces managed to hunt the crusade down eventually, and put a stop to this. The escaped members, including the leader, fled and went into hiding, whilst the Fossil was put in a museum. However...

Friday 13th, June. The date was no coincidence, the date the fossil was stolen. Security tapes from the museum showed a strange man wearing a black cloak, staring at the fossil. It was midnight. The hooded figure stepped forwards, somehow passing through the rope that guarded it, and did not set off the security alarms. He raised his arm towards the fossil, and picked up the frame which contained the fossil. Still no alarms. Almost strolling out with the fossil, the man turned to the camera. The darkness of the room hid everything apart from a dark green eye, and the pale skin surrounding it. The fossil had been stolen by someone.

Now if this rumour spread, people would think to themselves, 'Why the battle academy then? Whats the point?' This is the reason the rumour isn't popular. It was just a hunch to them. But to Lance, it was more than that. You see, supposedley, the three relics to ressurect the fossil were hidden on the island. Lance was one of the few people that knew this, the only others being Cynthia and Alder. The Battle academy was a disguise, and protection of the relics.

And you as a trainer, are to become part of this great Academy, and furthermore, be part of possibly one of the greatest story's to ever be told in the world of Pokémon. You find yourself in slateport city, having taken a boat, plane, car, or any form of transport. You have already signed up for the academy prior to the trip, and you have exactly 30 minutes before the boat leaves. You may have time to socialise beforehand, but most should logically be done on the boat, or after you are placed into your dormitorys(dorms). There are 4 dorms; The Artic-Uno Dorm, rooms designated 1A, 1B, etc, The Zap-Dos dorm, rooms designated 2A, 2B, and... you get the picture. The fourth dorm is the Teachers Dorm, which is self explanitory. They are each located on four different parts of the island. The island is divided into 4 sections. There are three spits of land branching off from the island, the dorms being situated at the tip of each spit. When you get off the boat, you will arrive at a place called Dragonite Harbour, which has stalls with pokéballs and merchandise, and holds fairs occasionally. Wild pokémon do live on the island, but in small numbers, so catching pokémon is limited. So, here we are in slateport city. You must be nervous, because you're about to become part of this academy.

This thread is mainly for discussion of the RP, how to advance on the plot, and deciding when certain events will occur. Idle chat is not allowed. There won't be a penalty for it, but it risks the closing of this thread, which we need.

First idea, if anyone has ever played the gamecube pokemon games, you should know that they have 'Admins.' The admins are harder than ordinary 'Peons' and they are all assigned to certain missions around the Orre region. My idea is that there are Three admins of The Crusade, and they are each assigned to finding certain relics. Another idea is that they each have a pokemon that is super effective against one of the admins pokemon, but weak against another. For example, Fire, Water and Grass. But since their team is evil, it would have to be something that looks more evil. My suggestion is Ferrothorn, Chandelure and Jellicent. They all look like they should rival eachother, and they are in this effectiveness cycle. Thoughts?

Also, if you haven't seen the rp yet, the boat is leaving now. Current battles to take place are Rico(me) vs Akoto (@MiGo), and whoever slipomatic wants to battle vs Mr. Mazu (Slipomatic). Remember, battles go towards learning new moves and getting high level enough to evolve. Also I will be picking my co-game master soon.

Finally, Ardent Dawn can post later this evening, or tomorrow. Luckily we haven't advanced too far, and most people post in the evenings anyway, because of different time zones... probably. And Slipomatic, since so far you're the only teacher, think you could post your class schedule here? I'm planning on making a teacher myself, so I'll do mine when I've created my teacher.

Happy RPing. :)

The Admins can be Psychic, Dark, Fighting. xD (To be different.)

Bisharp
Toxicroak
Musharna (The admin that owns this must be awesome. xD *shot*)

A Psychic type that's 4x weak to Dark does not exist.

I agree with Mon. Perhaps go with Psychic/Dark/Fight to be different. Could still incorporate Fire/Water/Grass as well though.
Houndoom
Breeloom
Starmie

Very well, since I don't have an idea of what times class scheduling would be working around, this will be rough estimate on what I'd be teaching. One thing for certain, when it's class mode and lecture time, it'll be something like "and when your opponent.... you then finish off with precision." Just to reduce monologing :D

Rough draft of class scheduling that Mazu will teach.

8:30-10:00 am Mid-level strategy
10:00-10:30 am break
10:30-12:00 pm battling session
12:00-1:30 pm lunch break and time to get pokemon treated
1:30-2:30 pm question and answer time.

Mind you, this is based on if you plan on having 1 class per semester :p If not I can do something along this schedule

8:00-10:00 am Strategy lecture and battle period.
10:00-10:30 am break and chance to heal pokemon
10:30-12:00 pm review, questions, answers.
12:00-1:00 pm lunch break
1:00- 3:00 pm Battling session for anyone to test what they learned.

Also, my post won't come till a bit later today, lunch first, then I'll work on posting. Also, I'll battle both you and Akoto, double battle style. :)

As much as I know you love Musharna, I think iStorm hit the nail with his suggestion. iStorm's suggestion has two cycles, that both go opposite ways.

Dark > Psychic > Fight
Fire < Water < Grass

All in favour of Starmie, Houndoom, Breloom?

EDIT: Almost forgot, what other pokemon do you think the admins should have? Should it be like in DP where they both have Bronzor and Golbat, as in have two pokemon identical for each admin? Or should they have their own unique pokemon.

Also I dont particularly know how schooling works in America, but i'd say the second one. One lesson a week okay? Or would you prefer the first one? It's up to you.

And I like the double battle idea, whats your strategy during battles if you don't mind me asking? I'm not going to use it against you, since its pretty much a definite loss anyway, but because if you're using a particular strategy, it'll be like a first lesson for Rico and Akoto.

Also *Spoilers* if you didn't already guess the ancient pokémon The Crusade are trying to revive is a more powerful Genesect.

I'm definitely with iStorm - the cycles seem perfect for balancing the Admins out.

I like the idea that they all have the basic pokemon, like Bronzor and Golbat, but then each have their own 'unofficial' pokemon they've caught and hidden to try and establish an advantage over the other two, a kind of paranoid pokemon arms race. None of them acknowledge it, but all three of them are perfectly aware of it.

I think each admin should have their own unique pokemon, maybe to fit their personality.
Like a mysterious, weird admin might have Porygon Z, or maybe some other weird pokemon (Not to hate on porygon Z :) ). But i think the admins are a good idea. Also i kind of have a question- for how long is the boat trip to the island supposed to be?

Well, lets say there are two battlefields, because Ardent is planning to battle kurumiru, i'd say as long as our double battle with Slip and their battle lasts. After that the boat will be at the island. Yes?

EDIT: Also does everyone want to decide on room mates for the academy? I'd say Rico and Akoto would be room mates since they seem the friendliest for the situation, and Rico can help research the whole 'evolving sneasel' thing.

back and working on post.

I can manage with 2nd schedule although 1st schedule was the one meant to be once or twice a week :p

Just for strategy, you'll gonna be facing off against the serios umbreon, and the playful espeon. And be prepared for total infatuation. ;)

That'd be ok. It would be good for my characters sneasel problem as well. As for the others, well thats up to them i guess...

In that case the First one because I'm english and don't know what a semester is :')

And that sounds good to me.

Also i just realised with the Admin situation. I have a shroomish. Admins Breloom vs My Breloom = most amazing battle of the century? I think so. And because I dont want anyone to miss out on the fun, when the situation comes, someone can play as the admins. I'm claiming one of them, preferably the starmie one, anyone else can claim one of the others. First come first served though.

Imma claiming the Houndoom. Starmie's great as a Pokemon, but Houndoom's just awesome :)

Edit: I don't really have any preferences as to rooms - I'll probably see how things play out by the time we get there.

Well since the only other girl besides Mari is Dawn, I guess they share a room. But where does that leave Tim?

Unless I can have Mari and Tim share a room (Which could lead to some...awkward moments.) or they both get their own.

I'll take the Breloom admin.

George~©

All Gravy
I was assuming that Tim and Mari were to be sharing a room with eachother anyway. If not theres an even amount of trainers & co-ordinators in the rp excluding Slipomatic since he is in the teachers dorm anyway. Tim would get a room mate.

So for the Admin characters, Mon, Ardent and myself are controlling them.

For the leader, since me, Mon and Ardent are already controlling the Admins, i'd suggest Slip to control the leader, since judging by his character already, he seems to have the synical evil guy agenda down. If you don't want to do that, then thats fine by me, and I'll choose someone else for the position.

Edit: Rank up woo

lol, me taking the evil guy, I guess I could, but let's see what pokemon he would have... hm? :D

Just give me a heads up on when he'd might be popping up soon :p

George~©

@Slip: Oh he wouldn't pop up for a while yet, not atleast until everyone is settled at the academy. We'll have plenty of time to decide pokemon for leader guy and for the admins.

@Mon: This is something i'm still pondering over myself. I was assuming them to be kinda like continuous NPC's, as in bunnied, but it seems like discussing it is turning them into actual characters with sign ups and everything. I guess its the controllers call whether to make a sign up or just memorise it. I personally don't want to make another sign up for my admin, since i'm going to be making another character anyway. Besides, its slightly pointless making a sign up now and waiting ages before the character actually makes an appearance.

Monster Guy

Fairy type Trainer
I'm not going to make a Sign Up for my admin either.

I don't feel like creating a detailed backstory for him/her right now. Especially when they're not going to appear untill much later. :p

Besides, it'll make him/her more mysterious that way.
