I find it hard to belive that this is true because it was not announced on either IGN or the Nintendo E3 website, both very reliable sources. But then, we have that awesome screenshot.

I don't know what to believe :s

Pokemon Revolution announced for the Wii!!

http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/top/wii-ship-date-announced-around-sept-178969.php

Today in Japan, Nintendo gave its Management Policy Briefing in which company President Satoru Iwata stated that the ship date announcement would be this September. More over, he said the Wii and the DS would be synchronized, which Shigeru Miyamoto broke to us at E3. While Iwata acknowledged that the Wii had low specs when compared to the PS3 and the Xbox 360, he noted that the function and the aim was totally different.

"When the size of the hardware increase, the sound of the fan gets annoying and the development costs soar," Iwata said. "Services like Wii Connect 24 cannot be developed. In short, I think the balance is important."

He went on to describe the virtual console and said that games would be downloadable at somewhere between 500 yen and 1,000 yen (approximately between US$4 and $8).

Iwata also announced that the DS will act as a touch screen Wii controller and can download demos from the Wii.

A new Wii title called Pokemon Revolution was unveiled. The game will go on sale sometime this winter. This autumn will also see the release of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl for the DS. The games will take advantage of the DS's voice chat functions.

Nintendo plans to move six million consoles globally before April 1st, 2007, and Iwata pointed out that these units will be sold at a loss.

Argh, you beat me to it. :p

Anyway, from what I could tell from a rough Google translation of the article from Famitsu, Pokemon Battle Revolution will see a release shortly after Pokemon Diamond and Pearl this Fall, and the two will see some wireless interaction.

The future of Pokémon is revealed! Featuring online gameplay, connectivity with Diamond/Pearl, and more! First scan inside!

Nintendo have revealed the title Pokémon fans have all been waiting for - the pocket-sized monster's debut on Wii. The title will apparently be an RPG/Adventure game which will support online game-play - no specifics were mentioned, though it seems a safe bet you'll be able to battle each other's monsters over the Wii's Wi-Fi Connection capabilities. Nevertheless, Nintendo have said that using the console's online functions just for battling was too "narrow" a constraint - suggesting more online options to be available (Connect24 compatibility, anyone?).

Once again, you'll be able to upload your monsters from the forthcoming DS versions of the game, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which will probably launch just a few months before Battle Revolution. Other connectivity is said to be included, for example using the DS touch-screen as the on-screen Wii controller, and new content for the DS titles, downloadable into the games!

The title will be available within one year of the Wii's launch - we hope for a worldwide launch for Christmas 2007!
Let us have a proper game now, Nintendo

Lol, I agree. Definitely a step up from the blocky models used in Colosseum and Gale of Darkness.

Wii is going to be released in September! Oh crap, that's too early. I hope they delay it.

YES!! I hope it is a Pokemon Stadium 3 style of game!!

And I also hope they delay the Wii. I need more time to save up for it...

I'm also hoping its pokemon stadium-styled, and not xd/colo styled. The story in those games was a bit...well....rubbish.

This game looks beautiful. So much better than Colloseum and XD. From the first screen I can tell that it's such a huge step from the 2 previous games. And Wii coming out in september? I guess it's cool that we get it pretty early, but they should delay it more to make it better.

Delaying the system won't necessarily make it any better. If it's ready and the way Nintendo wants it, then it's ready.
