Pokémon EX. Too good?

I was wondering what the general opinion was. Are Pokémon EX too good? Are Pokémon getting rid of old cards by making new ones better. I remember when a Pokémon with 60 HP and 30 damage was the Creme De La Creme. That is why I called this poll.

Thank you, SPPf! :)
Considering the setbacks and limits put on them, I don't think they're unfair. And unlike those Star/Shining Pokemon, they're actually deck-worthy.

Also, there are many cards out now that do additional damage or prevent attacks from Pokemon EXs. They're useful, but not ubbers.

They're very good. Maybe even better than Basic/Fossil/Jungle generation. Some cards can even knock out the 2nd stage pokemon.

Jetx

hooray, it's Jetx!
Yeah, I think they're a bit too strong. I remember when that shiny charizard was the bomb... But there are loads like it now...

It's all up to the players, sure they're stronger then normal pokemon cards but you just have to know how to deal with them. And that goes for the player using them also, if they don't know how to use the Pokemon EX then they can lose as well.

or something
Pokemon ex are fine, but I think some cards should at least have their text changed because of their brokenness. Meganium ex, anyone? What about Blastoise? Steelix? Electrode? Suicune? Zapdos? Mew? Possibly even Dustox?

I dunno lol
Pokemon EX are fine. The EX thing put on them seems to actually be a solution to some people thinking certain cards were too strong, therefore putting a drawback to the Pokemon.

If you have a solid Pokemon in play, they go down easy.

So, I think they're fine with that drawback.

i think they a UBER! they rock and yeah, there strong, but we need something even stronger to make the game a little fun - and challenging, sometimes though, they aren't very good, and when defeated, you definately get a reward don't ya!

i also lobve the fact they have really mysterious 3D art too!

Ex's are good, but can easily be defeated if you're ready for them. Dustox has too many weaknesses, Mew Ex has low HP, and Celebi Ex is just a fun card to play. Though powerful, they can easily be defeated, no matter what deck you're playing, as long as it's decent.

That's why you must not have a deck full of Pokemon Ex's. ^_^;

First shiny!!
Pokemon ex are fun to use, but in comparison to other cards they are actually quite weak.
For example, the most HP any Pokemon ex has is 160, and your opponent gets two prize cards once they knock it out. When you average it out, it's a maximum of 80HP per prize card. So even though most other Pokemon with 80HP are about average, by the time you evolve your other pokemon into Pokemon ex it is bound to have at elast a couple of damage counters on it.
Basically, it's just the same as using the same 80HP Pokemon that has outrageously high attacks twice in a row.
In conclusion, Pokemon ex are no better than other Pokemon.

yeah, i love playing with Mewtwo ex and Gardevoir ex.. so, they aren't to strong, maybe, it's just thair a little bit more powerful than other cards, but in average, they are just - Awesome

Just because Pokemon Ex are rare doesn't mean that they have to be ubers.

I think that the only EXs that are 'UBER' would be any steel-type EX, Rocket's Zapdos EX, and Milotic EX. Steel-types can be overpowered by having 4 ME on them, Zapdos EX can be overpowered by having 4 DE on them, and Milotic just shifts between the two, therefore doubling the time it takes to kill 'em and they're pretty powerful also! Good thing less and less are being used now.
