Now what would a Pikachu do to get a phone number? Maybe Coronis is hiding something, but we shouldn't jump to conclusions.

I think they've already narrowed it down to showing Surge a Pikachu. The problem is trying to get him to ask for it in the first place.

Pah. It's no Where's Gio... or even the OMFG Arceus & Shaymin glitch of the DP release coverage...

The crystal is probably just an event given item, and I still stick by my Lt Surge idea.

I know we shouldn't jump to conclusions, which is why I phrased that as a question, haha.

But a while back, someone said Surge says something about liking Pikachu's when you battle him. Maybe if you talk to him with a japanese pikachu at the head of your party, he'll ask for your number? Anything's possible.

I can see us now! Reports coming from Serebii forums and Pokebeach and other miscellaneous places we won't reveal are narrowing down traces and clues of the whereabouts of Lt. Surge. It all started off with a single Pikachu nicknamed in English lettering. Why the electric gym leader has gone missing in action is unknown and somewhere in Kanto and Johto he has yet to be seen and forevermore we'll link his location once we identify......(news broadcast gets taken off the air)
