Agent Tectonic

From Ashes, I Come
K, Here is my sign up.

Name: Stephen Foralis

Gender: Male

Age: 20

Faction: Mew’s Crusade

Pokémon: Sceptile

Description: When Stephen transformed, the first thing he noted was that the leaves on his wrist were rounded instead of being straight (much to look like a crescent blade). Upon further inspection, he noticed that the red band was slightly thicker than most Sceptile he studied as a human.

Personality: Once an outgoing, social person, Stephen had many friends at school. The saying that more friends means less true friends never applied to him as he knew each and everyone of the scores of friends that he had, trusting them to the point of being almost like brothers or sisters. Much of that changed after the events of both of his parents being diagnosed with terminally ill diseases.

In the months that followed after their diagnoses, Stephen started sheltering himself from others, preferring the comforts of his quiet room. Many thought that he was becoming suicidal, but he always denied those claims when he did decide to interact with the world. Now, with his parents supposable capable of dying at any minute, even with the doctors best efforts at hospital trying otherwise to keep them alive, Stephen is now a quiet, shy individual who talks only when he must. Those few times he does talk others note the despair in his voice and leave him to cope with his thoughts.

History: Exactly three months passed that his parents were diagnosed with their illnesses, Stephen spent most of his time either in his apartment or at the hospital, hoping vainly that his parents could be treated in ridding of their diseases. Doctors were trying to stall their deaths as best as possible, but the grim future was inevitable. Stephen understood this, and started to shelter himself from his friends at the university and the rest of the world.

One night, the day before his parents were to die, Stephen started dozing in one of the waiting rooms the hospital had when he first heard Mew’s plea in his dreams. Before the dream ended, he abruptly woke up sweating, fearing that he had already abandoned his parents. Later that day, he discussed his dream with them both, when no doctors were around. They both told him to help Kokoro telling him the history of Kokoro in the process, them having to evacuate when they were nine years old. To Stephen’s amazement, they held no hard feelings about being driven out, but they warned to be careful. Stephen, with a heavy heart, left the hospital that night to his apartment to sleep. Once asleep, he had the dream again vowed that he would help those who have become diseased by this nemesis called the Scorned and not let the Pokémon that were suffering endure the same fate his parents did. He never knew that his parents died that night he left.

Other: Stephen always prided himself of his amazing agility. Not only that, his skill at climbing trees made him nicknamed among his friends as Forest Shadow when he paintballed with them in forest settings. These skills ironically kept with him upon transformation.

This RPG looks sweet :D Mind if I reserve a spot for later? (Writing a big, nicely-written and well-thought SU during a 15-minute break of work is not a good idea...!)

That's fine, although we've already progressed quite a bit. But if you can catch up, then it's all good.

I *really* hope I'll be able to keep up, as it's my first time RPing here (although it's not the first time RPing ever...) but I'll do my best :) Here's my SU:

Name: Kassy Joy

Nicknames: Kass

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Faction: Mew’s Crusade

Pokémon: Chikorita

Description: Her fur is a slightly lighter green than the typical chikorita, her eyes are bright blue, and her leaf and "bud necklace" is light pink. (I guess you could say she's a shiny, but not the usual one...)

History: Kassy is in the famous family of Joy, in which most women all look like twins, and the majority of them takes on the job as Pokemon nurse. Naturally, she dreams of becoming just like her mother, a dedicated nurse herself working in Lacunosa Town. She's interested with her father's work also though, a smart Pokemon researcher slowly starting to make a name of himself. When she was little she would love following her mother or father, playing with all the Pokemon she met on the way.
One day when she was 11, her parents told her they "were going on a big, 6-month trip to learn more about Pokemon and help them". She bursts into joy, imagining her playing with new Pokemon she never saw before, but to her dismay they told her she couldn't come with them, as it was a "special" trip she'll stay with her favorite aunt in the meantime, and when they'll come back, "they'll have a lot of surprises for everyone". She no longer minds it, as she loved staying with her aunt and couldn't wait for the surprises.
But her surprise not only arrived earlier than scheduled, but turned up to be a bad one: Only her father came back home, full of scars and holding back tears. He didn't say much about what happened other than "mom is helping out the Pokemon in the sky now", but what was said later on television pretty much told her the whole story: With the help of new traveling technology they were able to find a world full of Pokemon, untouched by man. They sent a lot of scientists and Pokemon experts of all kinds to explore it, but as much as they tried to not disturb the Pokemon and their amazing habitat, the Pokemon attacked them all of a sudden, with no mercy. Very few, including her father, were able to flee, but most of them did not survive... It left her love for Pokemon untouched, but she became a little bit fearful of them, not wanting to end up like her mother... But determined to honor her mother and follow her family's tradition and her dreams, she studied to become a Pokemon nurse and succeeded.
On one special night, a few days before her first day as a full-fledged nurse and seven years after her mother passed away, she gets a strange and vivid dream: a Mew is asking to help out a world full a Pokemon now heavily affected and soon to be invaded by some horrible force called The Scorned, and that world was previously visited by humans but they were brutally forced out of it. "Could this be... where my mother died?" she thought. Although she doesn't want to be another victim to those Pokemon, she accepts to help out, thinking it's what her mother would do.

Personality: Although she's slightly shy (she thinks more than she talks), she is very kind-hearted and somewhat social with others. She'll be very enthusiastic when talking about her work, studies and Pokemon though. She cares for others above all else, to the point of not caring for herself. She hates fighting, but if she sees someone getting bullied, it gets her mad (which is rare) and she'll do anything to protect the victim. She's a very curious person, often getting absent-minded when concentrating at studying something or watching carefully something she never seen before. She shares the love of Pokemon from her parents, although since her mother's incident, she's very cautious around them, just in case...

Other: Because of her studies in Pokemon nursing and her all-around curiosity, she have a lot of knowledge related to Pokemon and their health (including first-aid, surgery and using machines and equipment used for treatment). However, as she doesn't have much actual experience, she have at times low confidence in what she's doing, especially when the life of a Pokemon is at stake. Because of her slight fear of provoking Pokemon, she'll hide the fact she was a human as much as possible.

EDIT: few edits here and there, correcting some grammatical mistakes and clearing a few things up.

Hello. I'm not for sure if you need a new member to this rp, but I'm new here ((not new to rps though, XD)). I'll try to stay as active as possible.
Name: Mistuo
Gender: female
Age: 15
Faction: Mew’s Crusade
Pokémon: Piplup
Description: wears a seafoam green ribbon on the side of her head, and is a bit more greenish in color, a greenish blue, you might say..
Personality: is friendly, and helpful. She's shy, and is quiet most of the times, but is loyal to her friends and wants to see others be happy
History: she was an average school girl, except that she was abit on the strange side, with a untapped sense of ESP. Her mother was related to a gymleader, Misty. She adores water type Pokemon, although she loves all Pokemon. Misty taught her everything Pokemon-related she knows.
Other: She is fairly trained in taking care of injured Pokemon, and quite atheltic.

Tasslehoff

ExplicitEclipse
Name: Jacob Smith

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Faction: Mew’s Crusade

Pokemon: Lucario

Traits: His eyes are a much darker red then normal Lucarios and the spikes that come out of his hands are tilted forward to use as a weapon, like a dagger on the top of your hand.

Personality: Because of his life on the streets at an early age, Jacob has an aggressive side to him, always wanting to be where the fight is. He also has his rare helpful side to him where he feels he must save someone in need in order to redeem his old self. This part of him came when he decided that in order to redeem himself, he must help anyone who needs it. Although because of his life was that of a criminal for so long, these moments are rare, and he only helps if he feels that whoever needs it must absolutely need it.

History: At a young age, Jacob was forced to watch his family murdered by a gang. After they were dead, they kidnapped him and raised him to be part of their gang. Growing up on the streets of Earth has made Jacob a strong willed fighter and learning that he will go to the extent of death to finish what he had started. After giving up on his criminal life after he was arrested, Jacob turned toward religion to redeem himself. One night he was sleeping, he had a dream of a Mew talking to him about a foreign world called Kokoro and that monsters known as The Scorned was going to be invading it and that all of Kokoro’s indigenous Pokemon would be slaughtered in an onslaught if humans didn’t help. Finding it as a great opportunity to redeem himself, Jacob agreed to let Mew transform into a pokemon and teleport him to Kokoro.

Other: He relies on his stealth to get an objective done but if needed, he will fight until someone has won the battle, even if it comes to his death.

So I guess I had an account here that I registered in 2006. Crazy stuff.

Name: Kari Kinne
Gender: Male (his parents, frankly, should’ve thought that name through a bit more)
Age: 18
Faction: Mew’s Crusade
Pokémon: Dunsparce

Description: The most notable difference Kari has from other members of his new species is his shiny coloration—his stomach, eyes, and stripes are all a bright pink rather than a light blue, and his wings have a slightly pinkish tint to them as well. He’s also a bit bigger and stronger than the rest of his ilk, but given he’s a Dunsparce, this isn’t saying much.

Personality: “What personality?” would probably be the response from most people who’ve met Kari. Aside from his rather eyebrow-raising name (which he’s really just given up on explaining to people at this point), there’s never been anything particularly descript about the older teen—he’s rather quiet, fairly aloof, emotionally reserved, and, frankly, a bit of an antisocial stick in the mud. Most people forget him as soon as they walk away, or maybe just remember the name for a quick throwaway joke with someone else. Yes, in truth, Kari is rather boring—and he prides himself on that very fact. Considering the terrifying irresponsibility and flightiness of his parents, he’s rather happy that he, at least, can be the reliable one, the mature one—the normal one, when all’s said and done.

In an ironic twist, though, those who’ve hung around him for a while attest that his normalcy is such that it becomes abnormal; the unchecked strangeness of his parents has left him a bit unflappable, for one, even in ordinarily bizarre situations. He’s also quite thick-skinned—jokes about his name in particular earn nothing more than a shrug and a general “Boy, haven’t heard that one before” response, but almost all insults just slide off him. He has a good sense of humor, too, but it’s exclusively dry and sarcastic.

Rather pertinent is that, despite Kari’s commitment to normalcy, the strange always seems to find him. His parents are, of course, the ultimate example, but his circle of friends tend to include outgoing weirdos and he’s often subject to abnormal (and, typically, unlucky) situations; if one imagines a boulder sitting obstinately in the middle of a tornado, they’d get a good general idea of Kari’s life. Though he often expresses exasperation at the events of his life, Kari definitely figures his friends are one hell of a lot more interesting than hanging out with a bunch of people like him would be, and he’s not really as bothered by his weirdness magnet as he should be.

History: From the very day his routinely mocked name (apparently a reference to a male member of Norse mythology or something; at least it had been a masculine name at some point in history, he figured) was printed on his birth certificate, Kari’s life was unpredictable at best and completely chaotic at worst.

Most of this came from his well-meaning parents, one a (Kari swore) half-insane artistic girl and the other an eccentric and rather self-centered salesman. The two were certainly loving and adored their only son, but between them they had zero foresight or self-restraint; Kari soon became accustomed to things like being dragged off on a vacation to the Netherlands with zero warning one week and then being told the next that the family had no money and would have to subsist on instant ramen and tap water for the next two months.

This sort of rampant irresponsibility did a great deal in shaping Kari’s resolve to not be like his parents; he consistently did all his homework, finished all the chores (because Lord knew his parents wouldn’t be doing any of them), went to bed at a reasonable hour, and avoided drugs and partying like the plague. As such, he started to gain a bit of a reputation as a prude and buzzkill around his schools—but, hell, Kari didn’t care, because he was being responsible and his life was probably way better maintained than theirs, wasn’t it?

Well, aside from the events he couldn’t control, anyway. By the time he was sixteen, Kari had been on a game show (which his family had lost miserably), trapped in the mountains for two days (he hadn’t even wanted to go on that miserable hiking trip), been forced to work for three weeks in male modeling (he wormed his way out of it; God, that was stupid), been forced at knifepoint to give some kid his wallet only to later befriend him (and, ironically, he may have been his closest friend), and possibly witnessed a UFO landing (unless that was a dream; he wasn’t quite sure). On top of this were innumerable other oddities and misfortunes (of a more minor degree, like, say, stepping in gum or sleeping through his alarm) that occurred on a near-daily basis. Frankly, Kari was a weirdness magnet, and it didn’t take long for him to rarely even bat an eyelash at his life’s events.

It wasn’t, however, until his high school years that Kari started attracting oddballs to him. There was Darrel, the aforementioned mugger and an all-around rowdy, punkish sort of kid (and the story of how they became friends is so convoluted and strange even Kari isn’t sure how best to summarize it); there was Meadow, a goth chick who liked to pretend to be the same aloof type as Kari despite being, in all actuality, a hyperactive girl who was way too obsessed with Korean culture; and there was Alex, a kid who acted like a total flaming queen and as often as not came to school in a skirt and heels for the sheer hell of it. (But he was straight. Go figure; it wasn’t like anything else in Kari’s life made sense, so why should Alex?) This unfathomably strange group also had a few other weird kids cycling in and out of it, but those four formed the core—and, somehow, they were the tightest group of friends at the school (even if Kari didn’t want to admit it).

Naturally, when Mew came to Kari in an insanely vivid dream asking him to turn into an alien stuffed-animal creature thing and save the world of Kokoro (was that Korean or something? Boy, Meadow’d be all over that), his reaction was perhaps the least surprised of all the candidates—indeed, one of his thoughts was “Well, go freaking figure it’s me.” Despite how damn bizarre and dangerous this sounded to someone already disdainful of the bizarre and dangerous, Kari was a logical sort of person who’d really rather not have the destruction of a planet on his conscience and thus accepted.

Name: Tsuki
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Faction: Mew's Crusade
Pokémon: Zangoose
Description: Her eyemark is somehow on the wrong side, and she has the strongest Crush Claw attack in her group, which everyone feared.
Personality: Shy, but when it comes to battles, beware.
History: (Continuation of description) Even the leader of the group feared her, so they asked her to leave the group when she was ready. The night the leader explained to her, she left scratch marks on trees to show everyone which direction she left. In her travels, she found herself stronger, and somehow she learned a new move, Shadow Claw.
Other: I know I might be a copycat but, is this too short? Oh, and sorry about posting this in the wrong forums, I was a newbie back then. But now I still am. xD

Yeah, sorry, but that is too short, and I've seen the mods penalize GMs for accepting sign ups that are too short and don't follow the rules by locking the entire RP. Because of that, I really can't let any more short sign ups slide. Make at LEAST a strong and solid paragraph for description and personality, and two paragraphs for background. Only one or two small sentences is nowhere near enough.

Greetings. May I reserve four places for my characters, Neo Pikachu? I know it seemed weird for one to hold such a number of characters, but I will do well with them in my hands.

Sadly, I'm lacking time today and I had to hold back from registering my characters. I will do so tomorrow, however.

I've been wanting to ask, what if one of Mew's Crusades went wrong when he was taken to the world of Kokoro by Mew? Thus, he'll land in somewhere else in Kokoro, and start his small journey to search for somewhere else safe. During his travels he encountered and knew about Mew's Crusades and remembered his dream, he'll decide to join them in their mission to save Kokoro.

Simple to say, I want to start mine in a more different way. I'll have to need your permission, I guess.

I find it very amusing that I keep getting the 99th post (excluding the main post).
----------
Name: Randall Wayward
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Faction: Mew's Crusaders
Pokémon: Larvitar
Description: He looks like any other normal Larvitar found in the wild, except for the fact that his black marks below his eyes are longer.
Personality: Most of the time, he's depressed about him and his sad life. Rarely even smiling, he isn't one to laugh at jokes and instead choose to be serious about the situation. However, as he was given a new body to utilize during his arrival at Kokoro, he got happier by having a pair of usable legs again.
History: During his childhood days, he was like any other kid. A somewhat perfect family. Friends that kindly help out each other. A simple yet comfortable life. To him, everything was perfect... until the day nine years ago.

That very day, his mother was driving his family consisting of his father, mother, his little sister, his older brother, and Randall himself back from Randall's own birthday party. Randall and his siblings were fast asleep after a tiring party. On the car, his father failed to find that present they had wrapped for him, a very special present that Randall had been wanting for years - the game console called Game Boy Advance, GBA for short. During those days, the game console that people of the present would deem something out of trend, was still as popular as ever. She wanted to give him the present as a little extra surprise. Not wanting to bother his slumbering kids, he called his wife's help, who agreed even though she knew it would be dangerous to not put one's focus on the road while driving. And the pitch black night, lit only by the faint lights of signs, made it worse.

They searched the whole car for it, his mother only restricted to searching in the front seats of the car. His father even resorted to climbing to the back search for it at the back of the family's SUV. At long last, he found the little box, calling out to his wife to inform her he found it. She turned around to face him, and called him back to the front seat. A truck's bleeping horns surprised Randall's mother, frozen in fear for her life. Fortunately, his father interrupted in time, steering the wheels and swiftly avoiding the incoming truck.

But for the cliff, they never saw it coming.

The vehicle crashed through the guardrails at the roadside, then lurched downwards to impending doom. The couple's screaming woken up Randall and his siblings, each joined the scream as they found out they're going to die in a matter of seconds.

Randall never was able to recalled what happened later. He only knew there was a loud and sickening crunching sound, then darkness. Everything fell into darkness. He fainted as well.

He wasn't surprised to find himself in a hospital when he woke up. He was educated about hospitals and their uses, but he never was told about what happened if things go wrong. He had to learn through experience itself - the experience of watching his mother's unmoving body being taken out of the operation room, as well as his sister's. His father had lost his right hand, but his mental self got it worse. His brother didn't had much injuries either. But for him, he was a pair of legs short.

Being disabled, he had to adapt to life without his feet. He became a shadow of his former cheerful self, depressed over the deaths of part of his family.
His father's mental being was twisted, yet not to an extent of being able to be called insane, thus he was fired from his company, now resorting to being a humble hawker.. His brother didn't take it well either.

As days passed, his father and brother became more convinced that Randall was the origin of that whole incident. If not for his birthday party, they would have been safe, a family still intact. They tormented him with this fact, and his father beat him to no end with his only arm left to let loose of his suppressed anger. Slowly, Randall himself started to think himself as the reasons of his mother and sister's death, blaming himself on that. He lived his life under such conditions ever since. That was, until he was chosen by Mew to be a savior of Kokoro.
Other: N/A
P.S.: Don't ask me why Randall's father can climb to be back of the SUV without bothering them. Just don't.

Name: Karla Frostum (frost 'em!)
Gender: Female
Age: 98
Faction: Resident, Ex-Adamant Swarm
Pokémon: Froslass
Description: Just like yet any other Froslass, but blind.
Personality: Although she retains part of her cold attitude of her younger self, she has changed to be much sweeter of a person. When the plague begun to take its toll on the town of Turova, she would let the starving or disabled residents live in her house and let them keep warm by the fire, even though she despises the heat.
History: In her younger days, she used to be a member of the Adamant Swarm, until Vrax came along and killed her former leader. From that day onwards, she chose to leave the Swarm and went back to her hometown Turova and lived there quietly for years. During her years there, she was well accepted into the little town even though she was ignorant to their care in the first few weeks. When she got older, the kids like to call her Grandma Karla, which she prefers others younger than her to call her nowadays. As a frail Pokemon due to her old age, she was one of the earliest victims to the plague and lost her ability to see. Still, she hung on to dear life and managed to live through her sickness. Ever since the incident, she hired Garrent as her butler to help her, and managed to pass her days, using her sense of hearing as a replacement to her lost of sight.
Other: N/A

Name: Garrent
Gender: Genderless (but prefers to be called a 'he')
Age: 67 (or is it...?)
Faction: Resident
Pokémon: Golurk
Description: He bears the appearance similar to any of his species, and without any special traits. He doesn't tell others of his surname -or maybe he just doesn't have one-, however.
Personality: A mysterious Pokemon. As an unusually quiet Pokemon, he rarely speaks. Even so, he would speak in short and simple lines. Most of the time, he'll just follow Karla's orders and execute it perfectly without complains.
History: He never did reveal his past to any one, and never even spoke about a small part of it. It is only know that he was hired by Karla to be her butler a few years ago after she got blind, and worked for her ever since. As a Pokemon not entirely organic, he didn't caught any disease from the plague. Says that his age is 67.
Other: He's lying about his age. Really.

Name: Marcus Rollington
Gender: Male
Age: 12
Faction: Roaring Thunder
Pokémon: Sandslash
Description: He isn't any special either, except his claws are much more worn out, some even broken.
Personality: Stubborn and stupid, he rushes into battle as long as his anger or instincts guides him. His ego inflated by the false victory over the Rhyperior made it worse. His brain usually fails him when it comes to either deep thinking or strategy weaving. As for revenge, he was one to keep it deeply and would do anything to achieve his revenge.
History: Born within the clan of Roaring Thunder, Marcus lived under the same conditions like any Pokemon with the similar situation. But when he grew older, he grew arrogant, even to the extent of wanting the leadership of the Roaring Thunder clan as his own. Still, he was too weak to challenge the higher rankings in the clan, easily losing to them in just a blow. Thus, he was laughed at for his species' traits that are significantly weaker than other stronger kind of Pokemon, even when he was fully evolved. A particular Rhyperior was the one to spark Marcus' anger by defeating him in one blow and throwing him into a nearby well after tying up the fainted Sandslash, making him the laughing stock of many. Marcus would have been drowned to death, if not for the citizens that pitied him helping him up. This was the limit of his anger. Boldly facing the similar Rhyperior from before in Tanrock, he fought him once again, nearly losing but successfully trapping him in the quicksand of Ondago Desert after bringing the fight to the aforementioned place. The Rhyperior never got out. Although it wasn't really won in a fair way, he took it as a personal victory, and it boosted his ego. He took it as far as to fighting his own chief, Scarmin, who simply bought him down by a ferocious roar which sent him crashing into a wall. This hurt his pride badly. Cursing at the wind, he swore to leave the clan to train personally, that and he'll bring down Scarmin with his own hands. Soon, he left without a word. However, Scarmin took it as a little training trip for him to grow up and learn, and never did took Marcus' name off the list of Roaring Thunder's members.
Other: He never got the chance to utilize the Cyan Energy, despite being fully evolved and meeting the requirements to do so.

----------

Two of the above characters wouldn't be used throughout the whole story, but they are still quite important, actually. As I once heard, if we made profiles for characters even when they aren't entirely important to the plot, we can still interpret them better personality-wise during the story. I've got a few issues with how my characters should act to the situation before, so I'm sticking to this rule.

Some of you would be weirded out by my use of a character quite old, but it's because ghosts can live much longer, or maybe because it's just me being me.

P.S.: As I would want my characters to pit into the plot perfectly, I'll have to read the entire story before deciding which is which.
And say, could you at least tell me that if every human bases was activated and ready to take on the Scourge even before pg15, will there be a timeskip? And during the Scourge's invasion with all equipment needed prepared for war, will we get to continue at that part of the war or will we win by default?
