I nicknamed a Tyranitar RATIVRAL. Because I liked it.

I nicknamed my Abomasnow (now traded to someone else) Snow Miser off of the Snow Miser from "The Year Without a Santa Claus" just because both Snow Miser and Abomasnow like the cold weather (Abomasnow summons it, and Snow Miser doesn't like days that are over 40 degrees).

I also nicknamed my Infernape Brain Fart.

To be honest, I'm not much into nicknaming pokemon, mainly since I think their names are good enough to begin with, but on White I named my Lillipup Woof Woof, since that's the sound it makes. I've started a tradition of Nicknaming HM/pickup slaves, and I kind of like it.

Swanna - Swan (it's a Swan Pokémon, what else could I call it when I love swans?)
Altaria - Fluffy (named after Fluffy, my Altaria on HG. It's so fluffy!)

I always give my pokemon nicknames in other languages

I know it may seem a bit cliche but I find that sometimes the names in other languages are quite beautiful; right now on my Pokemon Black re-run I've got this current team:

Incendie (Chandelure) It means "Fire" in French
Vipera (Serperior) It means "Snake" in Romanian
Povdigane (Conkeldurr) It means "lifiting" in Bulgarian
Vivamus (Hydreigon) It means "live" in Latin
Kale (Crustle) It means "castle" in turkish
Pringles (Jellicent) Simply because he looks like the pringles man hehe

Most of my nicknames are rly weird. My Cottonee in black nuzlocke was named Pippit. XD most of the time I come up with better names if I don't think about it. I also nicknamed my Mienshao Romani. I rly liked that mienshao... also in my black nuzlocke.
