And you reminded me of a Ninetales I had in LG, I named it Flamaster.

I was 9 when 1st Gen Red and Blue came out and I gave my pokemon stupid nicknames to do with their type; I'd call my Bulbasaur Leafy, my Vaporeon Drip, my Geodude Bricky, my Pidgey Wings (LOL) etc. Then In the 2nd Gen I went through a stage of giving my pokemon stupid cutie names like Cutie Pie, Sweety etc. Then in Sapphire I gave my pokemon human nicknames beginning with the same letter as their breed; Marky the Mudkip, Terry the Taillow, Olivia the Oddish, Nathan the Numel, Ralph the Ralts and Marty the Minum. Now, in my Diamond game, I've given them a mixture, although I migrated my Mudkip from my Sapphire game so that's still called Marky. Tulip the Leafeon, Blaze the Rapidash, Dazz the Luxray (I got the inspiration from the pokedex when I caught it as a Shinx and it said something about dazzling people...), Kazza the Alakazam (but I traided it from that girl in Oreburgh), Marky the Mudkip and Fevver the Staraptor because it sounds like feather and I was lacking in ideas lol. I also have an Empoleon that I nicknamed Peppy because I thought it was a suitable nickname for a Piplup

Also, in first gen, I used to nickname my pokemon their name but in small letters; GEODUDE into Geodude. I just hate it that they always name wild pokemon in upper case :mad:
But then I realised that when they evolved they would still have their unevolved names lol...so I stopped doing that - its quite a while before you get to the name rater's house!
