don't wanna sound like a noob here but I have never received a news letter from my account either. Where exactly can I check my settings because when I log in the only settings I see are play pokemon settings and pgl settings.

If you go to the article about hte demo shown on hte main pokemon site it will have a link to where you can opt in to getting the stuff. it will lead you to the spot if you are signed in.

Edit: Does anyone know when that newsletter is usually sent out?

Yeesh, October 20th, that's late. And I think I know why the demo announcement was delayed, it seems the Trainer Club site is having some issues. They probably wanted to prepare for the extra traffic. As for how to enable emails, it's the option that says "I would like to receive marketing email messages, including information about future online games, from The Pokemon Company International", right?

Yes. when I went to the article that talked about hte demo and clicked on the link that said to opt in to receiving the newsletter that is where it lead me. so Yes or at least I hope that it is correct because I really need that demo.

thanks, i found the options settings. had a small noob moment. But I hear for old events, you had to have opted in before a certain time to be eligible for the codes; in which case I will be really angry cus I just opted in lol.

I hope they send the newsletter out before the 20th, the date range for the emails I have gotten from them is 14-20 so hopefully it comes tomorrow.

you have to opt in for trainer club newsletters. The newsletter gets sent out starting on the 15th I believe but can take a week for all of them to be sent.

Just as a heads up, for old events through he newsletter, you had to have been opted in for it I think like 2 months before it gets sent out so if that happens, most of us are screwed. Don't get your hopes up too high.

Yes, if you click on the announcement for the demo they link you to your settings where you can accept emails from the website. Click the box to accept emails from The Pokemon Company International and save, you should be all set.

You need to make sure that your account setting allow them to send you the news letter.

They're giving us until the 20th to register, so I'm thinking sometime around then, unless they just send it to you anyway as long as you've registered by then.

They're not going to screw everyone over and if they did I think worse case scenario would be like Smash where we only miss a week.... the wording on the site says sign up before the 20th so I'm assuming everyone that signs up before the 20th will get it.

yup. They've made it really easy for us to get it. Trainer club accounts are free too so really anyone can get it.
