• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Awwww YISH!

I hope it will support Poke Bank!!!!!!

It will be. Pokémon Bank was designed to be compatible with all future installments.

I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. I'm actually really curious how the evil team is going to play a role this time. I'm assuming that it's Aqua/Magma, but how will their story carry on?

Well, I agree, this could certainly happen. Perhaps Magma and Aqua are now presented by so-called "Neo" teams (for those who don't know, basically a modern or revised version of an already existing body of individuals, that, although share the same goals, may do things differently). I think this would make sense as I am certain that they would definitely be more technologically advanced as Teams now? Also, is it fair to interpret the trailers as stating that the games DO NOT take place in Hoenn? Or should we interpret it as a "new Hoenn"?

I hope for both Hoenn and some sort of new region ^^

This is just fantastic!

I really doubted about whether or not it would happen, so this is very good news.

Experiencing Hoenn in a complete new 3D style will be totally amazing!

I didn't expect a new Pokémon game so soon after XY, so this is very surprising.

I'm looking very much forward to see some pictures and upcoming trailers!

Very excited for these - and really wouldn't be surprised to see the addition of further mega evolutions - particularly Swampert and Sceptile, and possibly some gen V ones. Gen VI may wait until Z.

So... in-game Blazikenite? Jirachi/Deoxys events, maybe?

Just made my morning. I've been wanting to play this gen for awhile. It's the only gen I skipped. (not on purpose)

It's happening. I am riding this hype train to November the whole way. I loved Emerald and I love Kyogre. Gonna be sweet!

Yeah that's what I've been thinking/saying, that for the people that missed on the event torchic they can get Blazikenite in the game now. (I've seen a few ppl in the item trade thread asking for it too).
Would love a new Jirachi event, the Wishmaker one is kinda stale lol would love another go at trying to get a good natured/IV'd one, possibly RGN shiny if its not locked?

It didn't say "Hoenn is excluded." And it is hard to see how they could be Ruby and Sapphire in any sense without Hoenn. The reference to "a spectacular new world" is either a misleading way to say they made the same world from RS look newer and have updates, or it means Hoenn and another region.

Would love it if you could get 16 badges again 8 per zone. Wouldn't be the first game that happens. One can dream~

So, what do you guys think? Will it take place in a revamped Hoenn? Perhaps with new areas? Or a new region entirely? Nintendo and Gamefreak went out of their way in the trailer to state that we will "explore a dramatic new world" (underline the words dramatic and new!) ; so Hoenn, or no Hoenn? Both?!

I'm pretty sure in-game blazikenite is a given, and I really hope that they add mega's for the other 2 as well.

Also, I mentioned this in the other thread, but I'll say it here too. Anyone else think we may get Volcanion in an event from Mt. Chimney. And/or Hoopa in an event from Mt. Pyre?

I really, REALLY doubt they'd add NEW & UNRELEASED 6 gen pokemon in those games before they're even released on the actual MAIN 6th Gen games...

Hoopa, maybe, but Volcanion is native to the Kalosian mountains; the editor-in-chief of the Lumiose Press went there to find one.

OMG my life is complete! Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald were my favourite games!!! Best music, best region, most unique Pokemon! Also it was the last gen released before most people in my age group stopped playing Pokemon (tbh they'd stopped before Emerald) so it's super nostalgic. Honestly when I first saw the pictures of it I couldn't believe it. This is going to be unbelievable.
Hopefully they at least recreate and hopefully expand on the uber-cool Battle Frontier of Emerald.

I think their new forms might be mega forms. Maybe the stone is the red gem/blue gem? When they said "a spectacular new world" maybe they mean it might be like black 2/white 2, not the same game, but the same region some years later? There also could be a new reigon along with Hoenn. Those are my guesses.
