Oh they're really likely getting Megas, as well as Sceptile and Swampert (and a new way to get Blazikenite for those that missed the event), but saying those covers are the megas when they're not that different? what mega stays the same after M-evolving, none.

On a serious note, I didn't really care all that much for gen 3. It's grown on me over time so I dunno what to think or how much ill like this. I'll definitely get it, but I don't expect to be like everyone else and be all "omg this is the most amazingest thing in the history of everything!!!!!!!!11!!!!!11!!1"

Kyogre does have a design change as well. Compare its head design as well as the eyes between its XY art (from the official japanese Pokemon site's Pokedex) and the Box Art.

I'm so excited. This is amazing. Never thought it would be so soon, I expected the next set of games to be revealed early 2015 and definitely not a release this year. I'm ready for Mega Sceptile to arrive and put every other mega to shame.

6 Lines and a Circle different on Kyogre and the Omega symbol on Groudons arm plus 6 lines on it's chest. Both are lit up. That's the only difference.

My wallet is... probably ready. I'm not sure yet, still too early to tell. But this is my graduation present! It'd be a month late, but it's a graduation present!

It will be awesome if this is a sequel or something, but I think it'll be like HeartGold and SoulSilver in that there are differences between the two versions, but the story'll be similar to the third game. Still, that means we'll be surfing Hoenn once more, in 3D. Hopefully, and I do mean hopefully they made the water routes more bearable this time around.

Oh and, by the way, Groudon doesn't have more spikes, he just looks cooler because he's glowly and shadowy. Kinda like Godzilla, now that I think about it. Kyogre is probably the only one who got a slight redesign, but I think the glowy bits have always been on it.

This 'spectacular new world' thing has me thinking...

What if, in OR, Groudon causes enough of a drought at the start of / before the game to cause large parts of Hoenn as we know it to dry out, creating more desert areas / land in general?

And then, in AS, Kyogre basically does the opposite, causes intense floods, creating many more water routes within the game? Doing this would create a slightly more legitimate way for choosing version exclusives / altering availability of certain Pokémon.

Also, anybody else picking up on the fact that the symbol of Groudon looks like an O, whereas Kyogre's looks like an A?

...and i'm a little bit day dreaming about new pokemon.

...and i just curious about 'a spectacular new world' , what does new world mean??? new hoen or extended hoen or brand new region.

i feel the exact same way, as a kid 3rd gen took the longest to beat (e4 was so hard) so i always have a sore spot for this gen.

Do hope Emerald also gets the remake (would it be called Beta Emerald? Idk. It seems pretty dull of a name, especially for Rayquaza) Do hope it has a long storyline and the huge Hoenn region

I would assume that elements of Emerald are incorporated into both games, as they did with HG/SS in regards to Crystal. It is still far to early to be sure either way though.

I honestly thought this was a hoax when I first saw this, but now that I know it's real I've been obnoxiously typing "HOENN CONFIRMED" all over my Facebook page. It feels good.

But holy cow, this came completely out of left field! I'm literally shaking in my seat as I type this because of how unexpected it was and how good I feel after finding out about this, I'm so happy. I've waited so long for this and now we FINALLY get to see Hoenn in all of it's 3D glory (Maybe).
I do find it interesting, however, how the trailer talks about an adventure in a brand new world, so maybe they're going for a different approach to the remakes this time around. I'm thinking it might link in to the various hints dropped in X & Y about a new region coming very soon. I look forward to seeing where things go from here...

OMG!! My dream come true to see my beloved Hoenn region come back to life! I am so glad it hasn't been forgotten! I cannot wait to adventure throughout Sapphire again! I wonder if Team Aqua and Magma will return? Also, I hope that it isn't just a plain remake, but maybe some new islands have emerged due to volcanic eruptions or something?!?!? SO HYPED!
