Pokémon Rumble Blast Discovery Thread

Though I doubt this will be as active as the HGSS and BW ones in the past couple of years, we'll do one for this.

Coronis has just received his game and mine should arrive in a day or two

Use the standard Rumble Blast thread for discussions on our discoveries.

Started our Location Database; http://www.serebii.net/rumble2/locations.shtml

and info from Coronis

1) Opening - a showdown between Reshiram and Zekrom on the battle royale stage, their Pokemon manifesting as a spirit behind their toy-form
2) You start at the Toy Town, where you Mii character enters to set a Pikachu into motion
3) At the first stage, called the Beginning Garden, you fight the starters and the elemental monkeys on your way. The game makes sure that you get an Oshawott, Tepig and Snivy. You also get Victini here
4) Your first 'boss' will be Zekrom, which is obviously too strong for you. The stage collapses, and your character 'falls' into another place. Think Toy Story, where you still control your toys, but the toys themselves have their own stories like in a parallel dimension

You end up at your 'base' called the Toy Town. Here, there is a Light Springs where you heal your entire team. There is a Mr. Mime at the door, a Pawniard, Lilipup, Pidove, Scraggy and Axew in the town. Like in the Wii, you can release your Pokemon, check on your achievements, and also had a browse of all the species you have encountered so far, listed in National Dex order. A move vending machine here teaches Giga Impact for 100000P, while another 'general' move machine randomly teaches your Pokemon a move at a given price, which changes. Here, you also have the option to return to your Mii world, where you see your friends' toy collections, exchange and so. Pressing 'start' on your N3DS gives you an option to return to the Toy Town, wherever you are.

There are also trampolines in each the base town of each stage to access the previous towns.
Plot:
You arrive in East Town to find Krookodile stealing the Springs water. You give chase, and a trio made up of Gurdurr, Fraxure and Eelektrik guides you everywhere. Your goal is the Light Springwater Fountain. The three-toy battle mode named Team Battle starts in this chapter. But you'll have to beat the Battle Royale in 2-2 to obtain the Team Launcher first. Basically, you choose 2 other teammates who will only use the A-button move on their own will. You control your own Pokemon. All the fortresses in this level are done in this way. Between each stage, you get to heal your team. The boss will be powered up by an 'evil' looking key.
You beat the underlings of Cobalion, including Krookodile, Garbador, Bisharp and finally Scolipede, which is done in a new mode called Rush-attack Battle. Not really sure how your speed and power is calculated, but what you do is just press A rapidly and repeatedly. Your team will run over the opponents' if your bar exceeds theirs. Not much battling skills required in this mode. After 2-4, you arrive at the Light Springwater Fountain but is stopped by Cobalion. He challenges you on a 1 on 3 battle, but he's so powerful that you would almost always lose. You will be sent back to the Town when you get defeated, and the third chapter 'Find Cobalion' will be unlocked. Your next destination is the West Town.

Obtaining the Charge Flag 2 in 3-3 allows you to increase the total number of toys on your charge team.

Basically you just beat Cobalion’s minions one after another, guided by Zorua along the way. Soon, you will see Cobalion’s army carrying the springwater away. You can obtain Charge Flag 2 in 3-3, where it increases the total number of toys you have on your team when you perform the Charge battle. Zorua later reveals itself to be a minion of Cobalion in disguise to fool you, and gets Zoroark to fight you. If you win, you will see Cobalion leading his army away from his castle, revealing that he is heading to the heart of this world: the World Pillar, which is said to be dying and he plans to revive it by the Light Springs water. He destroys your screw, and goes away. You unlock Chapter 4: ‘The World Pillar and the Mysterious Screw’s Secret’, and you head to North Town.

Chapter 4: The World Pillar and the Mysterious Screw’s Secret

North Town
- Light Springs
- Toy-watch from Mii aspect
- Release/exchange toys
- Collection view
- Achievement view
- 2-player mode satellite

- Random move vendor 10150P
- Surf 300000P
- Move Swap (swaps moves A and B) 15000P

Plot:
After your screw is attacked by Cobalion, it became bent out of shape and now it takes double to triple the time to switch Pokemon. You arrive at the North Town, where the Light Springs is also drying up. You are told by the residents that you may heal your screw at the Screw Temple, where Cobalion used to reside. They also mention that Cobalion used to be a docile Pokemon. You fight your way to the Temple, where you find several Golett as guardians. Beat the battle royale in the Temple and you exchange your broken screw with the Temple Screw, restoring your normal switching time. You then continue to give chase to Cobalion. Golett tells you that to the north of North Town is where the World Pillar is. However, the only path is broken. Fortunately, something known as the Hero’s Path exists, and there are a total of 5 blocks which rise to the ground. The first is unlocked after your victory at the Screw Temple. Beat the four other Screw Shrine battle royale scattered in 4-2 and 4-3 to unlock the other four. For Cobalion’s Fortress 2 in 4-1, you probably need to beat area 4-2 before you are strong enough to deal with it. Anyway, complete all the battle royale and the hero’s path will appear. Reach the Far-edge, and beat Hydreigon in a Charge Battle at the Battlefield, arrive at Cobalion’s Citadel, where you will fight Lucario. Finally, you proceed beyond the Citadel, and arrive in front of the World Pillar.

There, you see that the Pillar is starting to turn black with purplish gas. Cobalion and his minions, known as the Rust Army, are pouring water from the Light Springs via the opening of the Pillar. However, the army Pokemon fall one by one, turning black and purple just like the Pillar. Cobalion is surprised that the water didn’t work as he planned, and is upset that you are there to thwart him again. You finally fight Cobalion in a 1on3 battle. Win, and an army Pokemon suddenly rise again, but appear like zombies. Cobalion is shocked, and an evil-looking key appears, calling itself the Dark Rust, being the manifestation of destruction. It uses its powers to control the army Pokemon, and lead them into the World Pillar. You finally learn that Cobalion is actually just trying to help the Pillar, which has started to rust for some unknown reason. Now that you both know where the problem is, you enter the Pillar into the fifth chapter: The Last Battle, where you enter the Tower Town within the Pillar.

Chapter 5: The Last Battle
Tower Town
- Light Springs
- Toy-watch from Mii aspect
- Release/exchange toys
- Collection view
- Achievement view
- 2-player mode satellite

- Random move vendor 22180P
- Draco Meteor 5000000P
- Move Swap (swaps moves A and B) 15000P
- Move Teacher: Each Pokemon has a list of learnable moves. You need a certain number of other toys who know that move in order to teach your designated toy that move. For example, if Serperior wants to learn Energy Ball, it needs 4 other toys (irrespective of species) to know that move, and you can then teach Serperior the move. This is at no charge, but the Pokemon(s) that teach the move will lose the move themselves. Each attack is different in the number of required toys knowing the move. It seems fixed for each move across different species, like for Giga Impact, 6 toys need to know it, Return requires 5, Strength 4... etc.
Plot:
And so you’ve arrived at Tower Town, the town within the World Pillar, the heart of the Toy World. You take lifts to go deeper and deeper into the pillar. Before you reach your first destination, you find Cobalion waiting for you. You work as a team now, and first go through a few floors infiltrated by the Rust Army, which are not recruitable. Cobalion finally explains everything to you. Apparently, it is a guardian of the World Pillar, and one day finds that it has started to show signs of rusting. The rusting seemed to get worse every day, turning many toys into the rusted state, which Cobalion gathers into an army to find a way to revert the rust. Eventually, it found out that the water from the Light Springs can remove rust, and thus set out to collect all the springwater in an attempt to salvage the Pillar. This, however, failed to work, and the rest is already witnessed by you, where Dark Rust appears to claim responsibility for the rusting.
Cobalion leaves to find ways to defeat Dark Rust, and you challenge both the underground 1F and 2F, where legendary Pokemon start to act as bosses. Grab Charge Flag 3 to beat Reshiram in the Charge Battle, then Cobalion finds you again. Go through the Shaft where another gang of Rust Army awaits, and then arrive at the Bottom of the Pillar, where you will have a final showdown against Dark Rust. There are 5 instead of 4 stages in this Team Battle, and Dark Rust will be fought like any other boss toy Pokemon. However, at first, it often sets up a shield to protect itself, rendering your attacks useless. Once you get him down to 50% HP, Cobalion will use his ways to disable Dark Rust’s shield, and that is to itself and its screw towards Dar Rust. This disables Dark Rust’s power to shield itself, but Cobalion destroys its own screw in the process and ‘dies’, declaring to have sacrificed itself for justice and his calling. You finally defeat Dark Rust, and it crumbles into pieces. All rusting is reverted, and water starts to spill out from every fountain across the land again. This ends Chapter 5 and the credits will start to roll.
After the credits roll, many new things will be unlocked. Each area will start to appear in various areas, mostly the evolved formes. You can now visit the Upperfloor of the Pillar, where the toughest battles of Battle Royale and Team Battles, each labelled EX-1 to 5, unlocked as you go up the ladder of difficulty of course. There is supposed to be EX-6 for both battles as well, but I have not seen their location as of yet. In the center of the upperfloor is a device called the World Rank. By paying large sums of money, you can raise the overall level of Pokemon across the land. There are a total of 10 ranks, but going to rank 2 already requires 1000000P, so you still have a long way to go before getting to rank 10.
