Here's his actual dex entry:
Reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts, this life-form, apparently asleep underground, is thought to have come from another world in ancient times.
So it is not part of them, but related to them. It is not our eclipse guy, but he is the centerpoint of these guys.

They really hate one of the most played pokemon last gen.
At least rthey try to balnce it.

Yea I guess gamefreak decided to balance out priority a bit (although they did add new priority moves into the game)

I'm not sure if this has been addressed, but food for thought in the script includes dates up to 2021. So perhaps Gen VII is going to last awhile, or they're just covering their bases...

It actually makes logical sense for Gengar to not have levitate since its clearly not levitating. Course it seems a bit odd to try to make Gengar of all pokemon more logical.
Then again, I never used Gengar so this change doesn't effect me much, and I'm pretty sure it is still a great pokemon and great Mega.

On another note, a lot of crazy or surprising new pokedex entries for new and old pokemon. Sharpedo gets a conservation themed one related to shark finning! I'm all in favor of that but its still surprising.
Getting dex entries for all the different forms and mega evolutions is also a welcome change.
Then again, I never used Gengar so this change doesn't effect me much, and I'm pretty sure it is still a great pokemon and great Mega.

Leech Life is NOT learned by old species besides the current ones. Alolan Sandshrew gets it, however.
Yanma-line retains it through Egg Move, so does Bellsprout-line. Yanma also gets it through TM, while Bellsprout gets it exclusively from Egg Move.
