• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Huh?
Hopefully they're taking down other people's videos too. Some people have BIG spoilers right on the freaking thumbnail.

Yeah, having spoilers in the thumbnails like that was a very jerkish move. They would even have major spoilers in the title of the video, so yeah, that has me feeling upset. I couldn't even do so much as go to the channel without being bombarded by spoilers. It's frustrating, 'cuz I have to get the game anyway if I want to compete in VGCs, so there's already a rush for me to finish it, and now I can't even have the luxury of seeing the story unfold at my own pace.

I hear a lot of disappointment about the postgame, but also hear that the opposite version technically exists as a "postgame region?" Hell, that's awesome for me! I usually get bored and drift away around the time of the League anyway. This time I get to hunt those exclusives I liked but didn't get the version of.

Yes, you just get Aura Break as your ability instead.

Well that's great then since I love the design of that dog but really hate the idea of it turning into a freaking robot in every battle. I can use one happily with aura break now and get the serpentine one with the other ability for pokedex purposes. I think its very neat GF did this instead of making it the only option.

Without spoilers, please: My love for wimpod has probably been made very clear. But I do love kommo-o. So I was wondering to people who'd played through, which would be better as my main? Given types common by trainers, trials, etc?
I haven't played the game (I don't think anybody posting in this thread has) but if you consider knowing when you can get certain pokemon a spoiler then this is a spoiler.

Namely as far as I know you can't get Jangmo-o until quite late in the game (the 4th island), so if you want to use a pokemon during a lot of the story then you'd best stick with Wimpod.

Bug/Water has pretty great neutral coverage, though of course Dragon/Fighting is even better.

it's 487 yes
UGGGGH WHY.

I try to aim to only have one sub 500 BST Pokémon, and I'm pretty sold on A-Raichu, so I may have to drop Lycanroc...

(Seriously I could've swore Kaphotics' had it over 500)

Go, Explotaro!
Sorry I cant find it, but what trainers besides Cynthia, Wally, Red, and Blue do we get in the Battle tree as foes/partners?

Probably worth pointing out that Wimpod is deadweight until Lv. 30, and catching it ASAP means babying through a minimum of ten levels of worthlessness.

Its still got great Attack and Speed (if its Midday form). It should be a solid pokemon in-game and perhaps even in competitive thanks to its unique priority move.

We've managed with Magikarp all this time haven't we? ^_- Sure Wimpod evolves at level 30 instead of 20, but Wimpod also gets actual STAB and has better stats than Magikarp (though not by much).

Maybe, but it feels like whenever I have two sub-500 Pokémon on my team the team itself ends up less than average.

It's mostly just a weird suspicion of mines, but I want to have a fairly good team this time around, so I don't really want to take chances.
