They just seemed to me like they could have been like the Lucario / Zoroarks of the gen, normal pokemon with bigger roles. I was more of a personal wish anyways as I wanted a competivlly viable Tapu Koko. I don't do soft resetting.
Cosmog wastes dex space as it learns no attacking moves, evolves into another pokemon that can't attack, then evolves into the version mascot only to be unbreedable and therefore unobtainable. I get it may be important to the plot but an alt form would have worked better. Left dex space for a real Dolphin.

The fact that they were Guardian Deities should've tipped you off from the get-go that they were legendaries.

As for Cosmog... It's not like making it an alt form would change much. They'd still be putting time and resources into making it, so we wouldn't have gotten a dolphin or something else in its place regardless.

This is definitely an odd generation as a whole stats-wise. Everything is either super slow or fast but extremely frail... Very little in-between.

This generation honestly seems to be filled with Ghost-types and such. Even a Kahuna is a Ghost-type specialist. Also, it isn't a bad thing. I like it.

Alolan Golem is Rock/Electric confirmed. Can turn normal moves into Electric!

If that's truly the case, then Alolan Golem's Ability will make its Explosion deadly for Water-types (assuming that it and its pre-evolved forms learn it).

Just several battles and a Anabel episode for UBs. Anabel lost her memory.

No, but you get another Cosmog and challangers to the champion title.

We have no bloody clue, because nothing has been dumped from it. We just have the trainers.

Now that they're confirmed to be Pokémon, my main question is how UBs will be treated or obtainable in future generations. GameFreak can't really do the whole "mysterious invaders from another dimension!" angle again otherwise it'll quickly be repetitive.

There is none, but there is a high-leveled Dragon-type trainer named Ryuki.
