I don't think Nessa will be a main character even if she's de-aged because apparently she owns a Goldeen in the games (or at least that's what I heard, is it confirmed?)

I don't think we need another female water pokemon trainer on the cast with a useless Goldeen that will do nothing for hundreds of episodes.

Game teams have never correlated with anime teams when it comes to main cast members.

It's definitely fake. The Japanese looks wrong and feels very Google Translatey, and tossing the logical English translation into Google Translate and translating it to Japanese will produce this exact wording.

That poster if it was official would have actually restored my faith in the anime. Still hoping the official one is out before September. Would not be crazy since building up hype for a movie/show should start a few months prior to release.

And I don't think it's going to return, nor do I think the SM style will stick.

It's no secret that Lucario rivals Pikachu on the popularity scale, yet Gamefreak and the anime favor Charizard cause gen one

At least Lucario doesn't have TWO special forms already. What are they gonna give Charizard two more? lol
People love to hate on my favorite Pokemon's popularity, but Gamefreak doesn't do anything to justify the hate Lucario gets. I'm a fan of Charizard/Pikachu and I agree with the backlash the species get, it's well deserved on Charizard and Pikachu's end

Nothing was stopping them from making a NEW Dragon for Leon, or throwing us Flygon fans a bone for lack of Mega evolutions

I really do hope that he'll have Bohmander or any other type of underused Dragon-type, assuming he's even a Dragon-type specialist of course. So far since we only know one of his Pokemon, it's hard to really predict what his type specialty is supposed to be, if he even has one to begin with.

Gloria gives me big protagonist vibes; others may not feel that way and that’s fine, if you told me six years ago Serena would be a companion when her official art was posted I wouldn’t have believed you either. But with a return to a more competitive and hopefully serious tone, it wouldn’t surprise me if they decided to go back to the formula of rookie female trainers (that’s worked well in the past too).

I'm not really seeing the correlation between a serious tone and a rookie female character joining the cast. I don't have anything against the idea of Gloria joining the Galar cast since out of the known Gen VIII females she's arguably my favorite, but I don't quite understand why the tone of the Galar saga would determine who gets picked for that role.

Rotom is the new Brock, the character who endlessly tags along even though they long outstayed their welcome. Hopefully if Gen 8 is more serious though they'll tone down Rotomdex's more annoying quirks.
