Introduction (2.0)
Hello everyone and welcome to yet another contest game, but this time ran by yours truly, Endoplasmic Reticulum (otherwise known as EA).
Brief History (3.0)
Contest games are a very overdone thing in the games section, but most people will commonly never see me in them. But as some of you know, I used to be in to them, and I even had my own gamewhich I hijacked from octoboy forcing him to make PBB, Pokémon Task Academy. However, that game was embarrassingly bad so I will not do a common ER thing and link to the previous versions in my thread as I do not ever want it to see the light of day ever.
So if that's the case, why do I want to remake it? Well you see, like most games, I do not like merely participating but I like to have my own part. That's why I returned to PBB, so I could make the SKA, but when I found the task overwhelming and difficult I left again which you may have noticed. But I may resume it some day, but this is irrelephant.
How to Play (4.0)
Anyway welcome to my very own Pokémon Task Academy. This is pretty much your standard contest game where you nominate a Pokémon with a name and personality (which may not even be approved because of that thus making all this effort useless), but with a few little twists.
Mainly the gimmick is that every reffing the Pokémon will not be merely interacting like most, but instead having to accomplish a different task. Due to the setting of the academy, it can offer many possible activities It can be something simple like a relay race, to something complex like a triathalon, or even something ridicolous like a spelling bee. It could even interact with the story I might even set up. The possibilities are endless, must like clichéd statements are fun.
In addition, the reffings will not not be like PBB, but more like PDI where I will actually write the dialogue of how each Pokémon interacts with the task. It may make the reffing a bit choppy, but it will also make it more exciting and add a bit of humour.
Hosting (5.0)
The main problem with contest games is that it can be tiring to always have to do the reffings, which is why Pokémon Task Academy will allow the host to rotate each round. If you would like to host a round, please let me know in advance. If there is someone already reserved to do the next round, you may do the one after. I will not take any reservations that are three rounds or more after the current one, as things could easily change causing the entire list to be screwed up.
Furthermore, if the host is inactive or unable to do the round they have reserved they will lose their entitlement to be host to the next one on the list. In order to host another round, they must reserve again.
Please note though, if you would like to host you must keep a consistent update schedule. If I find you are too slow I might take over mid round. "Slowness" is relative though as I have no clue how long I will be taking or how long I expect another host to take, but try to be on par with my schedule.
Reserved Hosts (5.1)

Nominating (6.0)
Much like most contest games, 10 uses may nominate the Pokémon they would like to be apart of the round. However, this Pokémon MUST have a personality or else it will not be accepted. In addition, you may also give a name to your Pokémon but it is completely optional.
Vetoing (6.1)
A new mechanic I'm introducing to this contest game is the ability to veto someones nomination. If you find anything wrong with someones nomination, you MUST quote their post (if you don't it will be ignored) and then say you would like to veto it with an explanation provided. If the host deems the veto acceptable, it will be counted (they will state if the veto is being rejected). If a nomination gets three vetoes, it will not be added.
If your nomination gets vetoed please do not complain about it in the thread. Instead take it up in VM with either the person who vetoed it or the host (as hosts cannot veto). This is to prevent the game from being cluttered and resulting in a flame war.
Voting (7.0)
Like PBB, votes will not be allowed unless you provide justification. If you lack this, it will not be counted. And a justification cannot be something simple like "I just don't like him", and it cannot be because you dislike the species either.
The Task Academy Bash (8.0)
What is an ER game without a winner round? Once there have been 10 winners, they will each compete in the Task Academy Bash. The winner of each bash will be added to the hall of fame (see sec. 9.0).
In addition, another gimmick about the Task Academy Bash is that anyone that hosted a round with one of the winners may do a reffing if they'd like. They may even do multiple if we have less than 10 people reffing the round. However, the more times someone hosted a round, the more reffings they get entitled to do during the Task Academy Bash. So say for example they hosted three rounds, they will automatically be able to do three reffings. They may give one of their spots to someone else though, but it cannot be anyone other than someone who has hosted a round with one of the winners in it.

Banned List (10.0)
Much like PRR, there is no loose penalty system. Just if I feel your ability to post in this thread should be taken away, you will be banned. If you do something minor, I will warn you about it first though, but if it becomes consistent then I will ban you. Banning does not have to be permanent, some may be temporary. It all depends on what you do. Below is a list of those banned and how long they are banned for:

Outroduction (11.0)
I do hope everyone understands how to play. It is really not that much different than your standard contest game, but I hope you all have fun! And hopefully the fact that hosts may rotate will appeal to you more.
