Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

quick question, can someone convince me to play this again, i want to play, but lack of players/money is really hurting. If it were online, id play, can someone help me out

The TCG is as big as ever. 500 player regionals in Houston for example. You don't need too much money to get started. Buy a theme deck and join a pokemon league. You can relearn the rules and practice with other members' good tournament decks. Then, trade some of your old cards if any to a collectors for new, tourney legal cards. Spend just $30-$50 a month on good card bundles like: reshriam tin/box, zekrom tin/box, emboar tin, yanmega box, typlosion tin. That way, your deck will be cheaper yet great for tournaments. Go Here to find local tournaments. City tournaments are November 27th-ish to January.

In the states regionals hit around a thousand player's even here in canada with a smaller player base but those you find playing the game are very dedicated to the game, it's not the amount of people who play the game who make the game it's who plays it that makes the game.

Might be a stupid question, I'm gonna buy pokemon cards, but it's pretty rare to find around my place, the I found one who sells it, but they sells booster, not deck, my question: is booster may contain energy cards?

In our format, only HeartGold Soulsilver and Black and White have regular energy. Other sets like Call of Legends have holographic energy which is really cool.
I don't mind with holo energy or not, but I asked the seller and he said energy card in booster are rare, btw I'm gonna buy the Nobles Victor one, is this good?
Noble Victories booster packs? The set has some pretty good cards, but is there anything you're specifically looking for? You won't find any basic Energy in them though. Well, they may not be as big in your area, but the large retail chains generally should have the cards. Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, K-Mart.Actually I'm new in TCG world, so I dont know...

the cards arent hard to find. most retail stores, and if ur lucky, a local card shop or two

Reshiboar or reshiphlosion?
I have enough abiliboars to make it work well, with energy retireval, but obviously gothitelle can now hand lock me to put the kybosh on getting fire energy from the discard, so typhlosion might be the safer option, though it means trawling ebay for well priced cards/tins to get him.
Going to run the deck with reuniclus to cycle damage, hoping to setup with some hats and enviolite before Gothi hits to be able to stall it out and see it off.
Thoughts folks?

Most people value Reshiphlosion for its consistancy, but don't run Reuniclus, its catcher bait and only should be used in an item lock deck.
Also, Gothi/Ross decks aren't too common, or at least from what I've seen, it may be different where you are.

Does Anyone know what set these cards are from?
I found these in my collection and was wondering what set they are from. The Lucario and Riolu have lucario symbols but different numbers and the floatzle has a manaphy symbol. Can someone help me?
Note. I could not find a image of floatzle on the internet but the card is like this one but with the manaphy symbol in the corner.
