Pokémon yellow

This was my fav in the first gen. I once played by only training my pikachu you get as a starter. I got it to level 100 and went to the elite four with a bunch of healing and reviving items. I actually got all the way to my rivals last pokémon. The thing was it was a sandshrew and I ran out of moves that affect him. I was so close but never beat the elite four.

Yeah, how did you beat Brock? Quick Attack critical hit hax? Or something else?

If you lvl it up enough, obviously you can beat Brock. lol.

True, but the only attacks that would work are Quick Attack and Slam, if you get it to that level...

It's possible... But, Geodude may not be a problem, he uses defense curl and you wail away for a million turns. Then Onyx comes out and same thing. But if Onyx uses a Rock attack I imagine it would still do a decent amount of damage to even a high level Pikachu. I'm pretty sure Pikachu has low attack and defense and high SPA and D... And normal attacks are less effective against rock type and Onyx has a nice big defense... Well I guess I'm digressing, but you would need to be a very high level and with battling Caterpies(level 7 of course :p) and what not that could take weeks lol.

Brock was an awful Gym leader to fight. Since there really wasn't a Pokemon that would work as a suitable counter during that point of the game, you're only way to defeat him was to level up Pikachu.

I defeated Brock by training my Pikachu to lv 20 and teaching it Slam. Even though Rock-types have a naturally strong defense and are resistance to Normal-type moves, Slam actually did a lot of damage to Brock's Pokemon.

I loved Pokémon Yellow, so good memories.

Btw, you can get Mankey in Route 22, so Brock isn't that hard.

However, assuming only Pikachu, I used to defeat Brock with a Lv15 Pikachu and abusing Tail Whip, Quick attack and Double Team xD
