Sorry this is a little later than I anticipated. But I hope it's not too late!
Name: Monika Kruiper
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Description: Monika has always been a thin kid, slim as a board with limbs like sticks. She's never really been too happy about that though, but she's learning to live with it and love her body the way it is. Despite being quite skinny, Monika is athletic from years of skating, though you probably wouldn't be able to tell. She's also a little under height, standing at only five feet tall, and often remind people of a ballerina (which isn't a far cry from her favourite sport).
Monika is basically, your typical Asian, as noted by her almond shaped eyes. They're the colour of a cup of dark roasted coffee and seem to reflect everything, because the majority of the iris is so dark. Some people say that it gives Monika a rather thoughtful look, but she's not too pleased with them often. Her hair, which is perfectly straight and extends to her shoulders, is rather thin. It's probably the only thing that Monika really, truly likes about her body, mostly because it's easy to work with. It's often described as the same colour of her eyes, displaying natural dark brown highlights in the sun.
As far as clothes go, Monika prefers skinny jeans and t-shirts as opposed to more girly things such as skirts and dresses. She has a coveted pair of Ugg Moccasins that she's rarely seen without and rarely wears more makeup than just a bit of mascara.
Personality: The best way to describe Monika would probably be to say that she's a wallflower. She's never tried hard to stand out at all, and though she would never say she's shy, she's definitely not an out-going person. Instead, Monika prefers to sort of stand back and let the world pass her by.
However, that's not to say that she's completely emotionless. Even though she stands at the back of the crowds, Monika has displayed that when forced into the situation, she can be a pleasant enough person to talk to. She's kind and helpful when you can get the words out of her. Monika has shown other notable character traits though, such as loyalty and determination. As a naturally anxious person who has suffered over anxiety issues her whole life, Monika's always determined to push beyond her personal barriers and experience what other people experience (which is partly why she's taking part in this game).
As stated before, Monika is self-conscious about her looks and also about her anxiety problems. She comes off as a very timid and rather fragile sort of person, but in reality, she's much stronger (emotionally and physically) than she gives herself credit for. Hopefully, with a little help from friends and her Pokemon, she'll start to come out of her shell more and learn that the world isn't such a terrible place after all.
History: Still being young, Monika really hasn't experienced a whole lot in her life. She started skating before she could read and since then has been moving up quickly in the rankings. She had been so focussed on her skating career that she really didn't have a lot of time for anything else besides it and school. Therefore, when she found the notice about Poketropolis, she decided to give it a try just for something to do in her spare time (having skated so much had left her with not too many friends outside of the rink). She really had no idea what she was getting into at the time, but Monika enjoyed the escape into a virtual reality and was therefore, quite pleased when it was announced she would be receiving the upgrade.
Pokémon: Eevee (Artemis or "Arty")
Gender: Female
Attacks: Tackle, Wish, Helping hand
Personality: The complete opposite of Monika, really, Arty is a rambunctious ball of fur that gets distracted very easily. She's seen as hyper-active and easily excited and generally, very annoying to those who are seeking some peace and quiet. Arty is also eager to please and is always searching for Monika's approval. She's not always willing to work hard to get to her goals, but she can help in a pinch.
