Pokeblocks or Poffin?

I feel the Pokemon contest system was the best it could ever be in R/S/E. The contests were fine, they didn't need anything extra or anything taken away.

When you won in a category you got a unique drawing or painting of your winning Pokemon in a museum. Not a picture of the Pokemon you dressed up on your own with lame accessories and added a cheesy backdrop.

And the items to boost a Pokemon's stats were Pokeblocks, small candy cubes you fed to your Pokemon after mixing them with berries in a contest hall. But in DPPt, Poffin was introduced.

Small breads made from berries that were made in a Poffin making machine. I feel Pokeblocks and Pokemon contests in 3rd gen should not have been changed for the worst, much like Secret Bases.

Which do you guys prefer?

I don't see much of a difference between pokeblocks and poffins. Although I do miss the greyscale/outlined/whatever portraits in R/S/E.

It seemed to me, that PokeBlocks weren't as effective as Poffins are now. It seemed to take more PokeBlocks for a Pokemon in R/S/E to reach high Beauty than it takes for a Pokemon in D/P/Pt to reach high Beauty with Poffins. I thought the process for making PokeBlocks was harder than the method for making Poffins and that the whole mini-game thing should've had some form of "easy" mode from the start. That is to say, it seems harder to make PokeBlocks in Verdanturf Town than it does in Lilycove City. I'm just a PokeBlock hater :s

I liked pokeblocks more they seemed to be more yummie reminded me of candy

Not really showing much interest in either. The only way I could use Pokeblocks or Poffins is evolving a Feebas

I enjoy the more interactive method of making Poffins. Pokéblocks had a better name, though.
