Pokedex Question

I just got the national dex last night and I was wondering what is the maximum amount of pokemon you can catch. I haven't played pokemon since the R/B/Y days and I remember all about only getting 150 out of 151. If someone could kindly point out the pokemon you can't catch, which I'm pretty sure there still is, I'd be more than thankful.

You can catch as many pokemon as you want as long as you have room in your boxes/party.

there are 386 pokemon in all.
I think the boxs can hold about 500 pokemon.
if you get pokemon box on the GC then you can put 1500 pokemon in it.

Ok, out of those 386 pokemon species, what species pokemon are you unable catch?

There are 386 Pokémon that have a Pokédex entry. Mew, Jirachi and Deoxys can only be obtained through Nintendo events/bonus discs; Lugia and Ho-oh through Pokémon XD/Colosseum. There is no way to catch Celebi outside of Japan yet. You might check the main site's Pokédex or the FAQs for further information.

If you live in the UK (and I assume AUS), then you can obtain Jirachi through Pokémon Channel, on the Gamecube.

You can catch 386,but some aren't in there.
