Hey, this is my third poem. It's about a pokemon academy student who is somewhat of a procrastinator, which is a strain of slacker but a slacker that gets things done. And that's the most noble kind. Why do we admire the qualities of such a procrastinator more than those qualities such as organizational skills, discipline and...um...early-birdship? Well, it's an intersting thing, and I don't know the answer...yet. Read my poem, though!
Pokemon Academy Nights
When the last thing you remember doing is what you shouldn’t have been
When a daunting task’s completion still looms far in front of you
And you care but you don’t act like it
You’re procratinatin’
When you let hours whittle down to bare minutes for no good reason at all
Every other thing you do in retrospect seems like nothing but a stall
But you take solace in the fact that there is a limit
A definite deadline after which there is no choice but to end it
You hit the ground running at midnight,
no caffeine as fuel, just a poor grade’s fright
The morning moves on
School begins in 2 hours
Sleep a necessity?
Only next to showers
As you leave out the house, school on your way towards
You take one last peak at your mantra’s words:
Do it later: The early worm is for the birds.*

*Do it later: The early worm is for the birds is from despair.com
I just wanted to incorporate that into my poem.
