In Bulbapedia, All exept Pryce have been already appeared in magazine chapter. It could be another hint that he is very crucial in the plot(And yet it is only a hint). If he didn't who would become the Mahogany Gym Leader? He doesn't have anyone who has close relationship with him. And I don't think Lorelei would replace him

There is just no one to replace him. Kusaka shouldn't have done that with him. If the games had replaced him, then there would be a successor, but he wasn't replaced in the games, and as so there is no one to take the Mahogany Gym Leader place.

Agreed. I thought the Masked Man was an extremely lame villain, and he just became lamer when it was revealed to be Pryce. And since Pryce is one of my favorite Johto gym leaders, that made his portrayal in the manga really difficult for me to swallow.

None of the Johto gang ever competed for badges anyway, so it really doesn't matter if the Mahogany Gym currently has a leader or not.

Agreed. I thought the Masked Man was an extremely lame villain, and he just became lamer when it was revealed to be Pryce. And since Pryce is one of my favorite Johto gym leaders, that made his portrayal in the manga really difficult for me to swallow.

And I really love the masked man design.
I hope pryce will come back sometime, but HG/SS will be pretty short and I dont think we will ever see him again..

Yaaaa....... I like the Masked Man and Giovanni too. But my all time favorite villain is Sird..... I just hope she appears sometime in the future.

I didn't really care for his true goal. It was a disappointment after all the "evil" I guess he had accomplished, I expected something better. And then at the very end his heart "melts" and he becomes good again? That was bogus, not to mention corny. Plus, he did away with Gold. For two full volumes. I can't be the only one still mad that we had to give up awesome Gold for two whole volumes just so Miss Boring and Bland Crystal could be introduced. Then when he did come back he never really did anything again until the arc's climax...lol, I just need to get on my soap box for the original GSC chapter, so many things I didn't like in that chapter.

As for Pryce himself, I much prefer him as the badass grandpa he is in the Johto remakes. Didn't really care for him as a feeble old man.

No I liked him too. The Masked Man aka Mask of Ice was a very well done villain. I wish there were more villains like this in special and not just the evil Team leaders. Yeah there is Sird but still. Only thing that I found questionable about Mask of Ice was his motives. Okay so he did all this evil, kidnapped Blue, Silver, Will, Karen, and those Team Rocket soldiers when they were kids and remade Team Rocket just to get his Lapras back? I love Crystal's quote on saying it was something so small to commit such big crimes. Not to mention Mask of Ice using both Ho-oh and Lugia was awesome. I had hoped Pryce, Ho-oh and Lugia would play a role in HGSS. They still might. Won't know until the chapters come out.

And I really wonder if we will ever see ho-oh and lugia again. They have not beeing mentioned in the FR/LG Chapter, but are fr/lg ticket event Pokèmon too. Like Deoxys and Mew.
And even Moltres was beeing mentioned by blue..

I can remember some line in the end of the GSC Chapter: "nobody have ever seen ho-oh and luga again" or something like that.
Maybe this is the reason why they wont show up again.

Well you have me, Fan of every masked villain in this world. And yet his heart melts because of a song and a special attack.

I also hope that Ho-oh, Lugia, even Spiky-eared Pichu appear in HGSS.

Well the Important thing in PokeSpe Manga is it's melancolic sides. Any Ideas of what it would be because the only thing it would be considered is Gold's Togepi scene which I didn't think It is melancolic enough

I am glad that the vol have changed a bit from the magazines. At least there are a few new things then, for now nothing really new that we haven't gotten from the magazine, I do hope that the ending will be different from the magazine.

Maybe the ending could involve...Giovanni? I just feel he should get some focus with Silver, like what he plans to do with his son and Team Rocket. And would hopefully Ho-oh and Lugia can play a role to. But it's nice there are changes and tweaks.

it's not the first time someone posted that question here. Well I guess Kusaka has already plans for Pryce, he just want's to surprise his fans.

I don't want HG/SS to be short. The Johto Dex Holders are my fav. Gold because he's the most awesome character in the history of Pokemon Adventures, Silver because of his mysterious motives and past with the Masked Man. And Crystal because she's the capture specialist and I like MangaQuest Shipping. And oh, The Masked Man is the coolest, cruelest and creepiest villain ever. Too bad Gold and Silver disappeared for 2 volumes because of him, though. And The Masked Man gets SOOO much creepier at the end of Vol. 13 where he kidnaps Kurt. HG/SS shouldn't be so short! At least 3 volumes!

BTW How many times does Team Rocket get revived? First Giovanni disbands it in RGB, then Masked Man revives it in GSC, then I think it gets revived again in FRLG( Haven't read it yet.). And looking at the pics, I can guess that Archer revives it AGAIN in HG/SS. I think that's 3 times.

I think we will get HGSS the end in 43 volume.

In view of the notice of 41 volume did not indicate HGSS end in 42 volume, and they will be launched BW before the end of the year, this will be in 43 volume. ;424;
