I did a search for this, and nothing came up so....

I made this thread so people could discuss things about a pokemon's inner workings like Hitmonlee's bones (How does it stratch it's limbs like that?) or Bulbasaurs's Leech Seed/Triple powder (How does it continually produce all thos spores/seeds in battle with such a small body?)

If anyone could post anypictures they can find on a pokemon's insides, that would be helpful.

Discuss.

It's about time a thread like this was formed. Bulbagarden has very lively discussions about this, and I'd love to see this kind of discussion here.
I've always wondered where water Pokemon get all the water they spew out.

Well water is only Hydrogen and Oxygen. Oxygen is abundant in the air, while Hydrogen is there too just not as common. There's plenty of water vapour and moisture in the air, more or less so depending on the location. It's reasonable to think a water pokemon has the ability to store or create large reserves of water within their bodies. Perhaps they have a sack were it is kept, similar to how Camels store water in their humps.

I was under the impression that Hitmonlee's legs contain no bone, just cartilage. Cartilage attached by, erm, tendons I guess. A thin but flexible skin covers the leg coils. I assume the rest of Hitmonlee's body contains regular bones though, but of all the hitmons, Hitmonlee has the strangest build.

I think that Hitmonlee's legs are supported by pressurised air! They are actually just sacks of skin, and Hitmonlee can stretch them by pumping air into them. Therefor the legs are extremely flexible. Iveechan's idea has merit, too.

Interesting idea, but pumping air into a sack of flexible skin and streching it 1/4 mi-1 mi would take extreme effort, but Hitmonlee does it with no effort and with extreme speed.

^Point taken.
What I'd like to know is how pokemon can use Iron Tail. Sure Steelix can use it fine and dandy, but how do the other pokemon? o_O

they tighten their focus and allow the tail part of their body to become compressed and into a more.... hard and solid state. Iron tail doesn't mean alchemy alone.
I always wondered how do machoke get those belt when they evolve find it? or are they just a part of their skin????;201-?; ;201-?; ;201-?;

Well, a practical explanation would be: The trainer gives it to them.
Another reason: Machoke is a humanshape pokemon. The game designers wouldn't ahve wanted to show a naked humanshape pokemon that was so humanlike. Same as with jynx.

Camels store fat in their humps.
What is under jynx's dress? Feet? Air?

As a follow-up to Tropius's question, where do these objects come from:

Farfetch'd's leek
Hypno's pendant
Kadabra/Alakazam's spoons
Tangela's boots (They can't be natural)

Also, Why is Kangaskhan born with a baby, and why haven't the professors acknolegded it as a Pokemon?

Farfetch'd takes some? Hypno has a pendant attached to the center of his palm. It grew on when he evolved. Kadabra stole. Tangela's boots are made by tangela out of wood once they reach a certain age.

I think of Hitmonlee's legs like a tarantulas. Tarantualas have no bones or muscles in thier legs, but they move by alternatingly legthening and shortening thier legs by increasing/decreasing blood flow. So, maybe Hitmonlee's legs grow by making them stretch with increased blood flow?

And how can Slugmas have no blood, just magma? They must of developped some complex respiratory system that allows them to oxidize the magma... Cool :D

Undeneath her dress, Jynx probably resembles an obese hobbit or something. The fat is to protect her from cold. She has giant, leathery feet for grip on the ice. Her hair is actually more like dence, ropey fur. I imagine that a millenia ago, a viking tribe discovered a wild Jynx, and mistook it for an ice godess. They took her to there halls, and clothed her and fed her and treated her like royalty. This is probably how Jynx was tamed. The descendants of these Jynx were taken on by Santa, like in the anime, and ended up with various other trainers.
PS: Jynx are extinct in the wild. The Jynx the vikings found was the last of it's species, which evolved from Apes alongside humans to adapt to the ice age. Think of humanshapes as neanderthals and the like.

They can be found in Seafoam Islands in the Japanese Blue Version AND in Ice Cave in GSC.
