Not thinking twice!
Just a thread for random trivia about the pokemon anime that are often overlooked. I'll start:
2015 is the only (complete) year in the entire pokemon anime's run where Ash didn't actually lose any trainer battle, going by jp airdates

Coincidentally, that's the last year that no mainline Pokemon games were released. 2016 is SM, 2017 is USM, 2018 is LGPE, and 2019 is SWSH.

Some of these are things that I’ve learned on Bulbapedia a long time ago. These are all about Ash lol:

Ash hasn’t met and beaten a Gym Leader in the same episode since Wattson. Watson’s Gym is also the first time Ash has defeated a Gym Leader without any of his Pokémon getting knocked out.

Ash has lost to every Normal Type Gym Leader

Ash’s Hoenn team has each capture weak to the previous (Electric>Flying>Grass>Water>Fire>Ice). If you include Phanpy/Donphan that was own his team for most of BF, his team is a complete circle.

Ash has a Pokémon or one from the same evolution line with all his rivals (both major and minor) with the exception of Nando and the debatable Tobias and Virgil

Ash caught his Kalos team in order of their placement in the Kalos Dex. His Kalos team also has the Top 4 fastest Gen 6 Pokémon.

All of Ash’s Sinnoh Pokémon had plot lines around them learning new moves.

Every Fire starter that was the main cast has evolved at least once. Yet to be seen with Scorbunny.

Excluding Galar’s, the only Gym Leader Ash never met was Janine.

- He hasn't aged a week yet.
- His father remains MIA.
- He fervently refuses to catch any old Pokemon if it's not native to the current generation.
- He strangely enough never got interested in Mega Evolution to use it (surely because it banked on nostalgia).
- He forgets stuff he should already be familiar with.
- His stupidity as a trainer hit its peak in Unova. Only to be ironically trounced by an even bigger stupid idiot. Which means not even he's good at being stupid.
- He hasn't been seen using the stuff his mom packed in his backpack.
- He refuses to elaborate what exactly a Pokemon Master even is and the term simply is alien to everyone but him.
- He never graduated from the Alola School despite being the major focus.
- He hasn't even called Serena once about the weird kiss on his cheek.

Irony Corner
- Ash never visited Serena's house once. He did visit Lillie's house very soon in about 10 episodes and even raised a baby together. So much for Serena being a romantic love interest.

I don’t see Serena with a mansion on a man made island so why should he visit her home

Well he did catch aipom a johto Pokemon in Kanto in the hoenn series, even tho it was coz it could evolve in sinnoh
