Pokemon anime fun facts

Out of the female companions, Misty has appeared in the most episodes (284) and she’s appeared in the most series (OS, AG, SM) and regions (Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn and Alola.)

Ash has never caught a female only pokemon

That's probably something that the writers have avoided on purpose since they might consider some of those female-only Pokemon to be too feminine for him. I know that people consider Chikorita's line feminine as well, but at least those Pokemon have a chance of being male.

Ash has yet to catch a regional variant or a second Electric type

Snivy is female.

But after her, fat chance he ever caught a female Pokemon ever again. (I don't remember if Leavanny was also female, but still, the point applies.)
Not even that, it was cut
Daaaaaaaaaamn. Like, why.

Misty met 4 other main girls of the anime (May, Lillie, Lana and Mallow), but she only really had memorable interactions with Lana. I don't remember Misty saying more than two lines to Lillie or Mallow, lol

Captain Pikachu is EPIC
It isn't exactly a fun fact but something interesting to point
Until BW, most trainers used to command their pokémon just by "agressive pointing" their fingers or hands
But from XY onwards(and even from SM with all the animation changes), they started to move more while commanding, making the battles more dynamic

Chuck was the last gym leader to only appear in one episode. Since him, Jasmine to the present, every gym leader/Kahuna has appeared in at least two episodes.

If you count Kahunas as a gym leader equivalent, Ash losing to both Nanu and Hapu (even if the Hapu loss wasn't in an official match) was the first time Ash lost to consecutive gym leaders since Lt. Surge and Sabrina.

The record for the most gym battles participated in by one Pokémon in one region is 9, shared by Pikachu in Johto and Talonflame in Kalos.

Candice was the last gym leader to use more than 3 Pokémon. Since then, every gym leader Ash has faced has used fewer than 4 Pokémon, even including the very next gym leader after her, Volkner, who imo should have used Raichu and made it a 4on4 like Candice.

The GS Ball, the evil Malamar trio, and Nanu's phone conversation with Giovanni are not really a fun fact, but will never be brought up again.

"Enter the..."

The Dragonite you're referring to in this quote has the record for the most moves used in one match (10).

The Giovanni call really doesn't need to be brought back imo. It forshadowed Giovanni trying to capture necrozma and nanu once dealing with Giovanni in the past.
For the GS ball they atleast have an explanation.
The malamar trio should have belonged to Xerosic :(

Not thinking twice!
Pokemon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu is the fifth and last episode to feature blood.
Which were the other 4? Also, technically every episode with the Conkeldurr family shows blood. It's inside their bodies, but it's still visible. Same for SM61 due to Buzzwole

Which is fitting considering that it was one of the few episodes in the whole series where a villainous character [in this case, Hunter J] tried to murder a protagonist [Satoshi].

Can't quite remember all of them but the others were Wake Up! Snorlax, Ignorance is Blissey and Tears for Fears

Daaaaaaaaaamn. Like, why.

Think it has to do with that the Japanese name of Night Slash is "Crossroads Kill" which sounds very morbid said by someone that is not a villain/anti-hero. For more move-related trivia the Hoenn series is the last time Earthquake was shown in the anime, since then said move and earthquake-related moves (e.g: Fissure) has never appeared.
