Pokemon Arena Round 4

one on one assumes no switching in. No previous damage means Venusaur obviously had time to Mega Evolve. if the sets posted for Mamo and Venu were actually the standard Venu can win. So it can still count.

Except it can't, because it can't come in and mega evolve on the same turn. No prior damage means when it takes the hit it's at full health. When Venusaur comes in, it won't be in Mega forme and will easily be decimated by Icicle Spear.

Don't pretend like you know the rules to this better than the people who made it.

Completely missed that Superpower on T-Tar, my bad.

Nidoking @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 S. Atk/ 252 Spd

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Att / 4 SpDef

Completely immune to Nido's STABs.

252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Bronzong: 55-65 (16.2 - 19.2%) -- possible 6HKO

252+ Atk Bronzong Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nidoking: 230-272 (75.6 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I think from now on, we're going to need to have people justify how Pokemon B counters Pokemon A like above.

There's no clarification that the pokemon wasn't already out in battle, which didn't matter before but now it does when there's mega evolutions.

Don't pretend like you can hold a candle to the people's champion.

There's also no clarification that the Pokemon isn't hacked with 999 stats or something. Sometimes you need to fill in the blanks yourself. It's called common sense.

Go get some.

Sableye @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Att
Relaxed Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Foul Play
- Taunt

Gyro Ball's power in this situation would be 21.78 (Relaxed Sableye is 122 and Brave Aegislash is 140).

+2 252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Shadow Sneak vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 138-163 (45.3 - 53.6%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Gyro Ball (21 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 73-87 (24 - 28.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252+ Atk burned Aegislash-Blade Shadow Sneak vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 69-81 (22.6 - 26.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252+ Atk burned Aegislash-Blade Gyro Ball (21 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 36-43 (11.8 - 14.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever

+2 0 Atk Sableye Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Blade: 1314-1548 (405.5 - 477.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

0 Atk Sableye Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Blade: 660-776 (203.7 - 239.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Regardless whether Aegislash attacks or set ups on the switch in. Sableye can take a hit and responds by manhandling it with Will-O-Wisp and Foul Play.

Ninja'd.

Togekiss Togekiss doesn't care about being Knocked Off and Foul Play does minimal damage to it. Regardless whether Mandibuzz knocks me or not, it's set-up bait and I can Nasty Plot safely.

Except mine isn't illegal in battle and can just be the pokemon was already sent out. That's not a case of lack of common sense that's just a possibility. lol sorry i forgot you are the great divine retribution and are at the forefront of the pokemon metagame. I'll go train in the mountains so I can become as big headed at a video game as you.

Don't pretend like you can hold a candle to the people's champion.

6) You must be able to switch in and win 70% of the time or better.. So don't just say "I switch in and use Focus Blast three times in a row".
7) Assume your opponent can predict perfectly. You will always switch in on the worst move possible.

cause thats not clear. last warning, anymore arguing about the rules when its clearly stated will end with the "peoples champion" being infracted

Y'know I've been wondering... do we assume that if the Pokemon-to-counter has a Choice item, it would still be locked into the "obvious" move that it would've used to KO the preceding Pokemon? Regardless...

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Calm Nature
Chlorophyll -> Thick Fat
252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpDef
-Giga Drain
-Sludge Bomb
-Hidden Power Rock
-Synthesis

If it's locked into Thunderbolt it's a no-brainer. If not...

252+ SpA Choice Specs Rotom-W Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Venusaur: 136-160 (37.3 - 43.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Rotom-W Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Thick Fat Mega Venusaur: 60-72 (16.4 - 19.7%) -- possible 6HKO

4 SpA Mega Venusaur Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 182-216 (59.8 - 71%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
