Pokemon Ash Should Have Caught: BF

If Ash had caught a new Pokemon in BF, what do you think it would have been? I know hes already got plenty of Kantos, but are there any you would have liked to see on his team the first time round, even?

I'd say a member of the Ralts line. One reason would be a spoiler at the moment. The other reason is because the Ralts line is strong, psychic, and it has a lot of versatility, from the standard psychic attacks, to elemental attacks to Destiny Bond if bred. Since it would also be a good pokemon for May, it would be a good opportunity for the writers to give us a real Ash vs. May battle without the deck being stacked against either Ash or May. Hopefully, if this ever happened, TR wouldn't come in and ruin the battle.

Mostly potential Johto pokemon. The only ones other than his starters are Heracross, Noctowl, and Donphan. I'd have liked to see him with Ursaring and Houndoom.

If someone was going to capture that smoochum I think it would have been May.But he does need a cute pokemon on his team (other then pikachu)

But you gotta remember, Harley has a Jupetta. Sure, it could stay unevolved, but Satoshi hasn't really been doing that since AG started. Heigani's the only exception (and Pikachu, of course), and even he manages to be a powerhouse with his hard shell and brute strength. I just don't see a Kagebouzu being in Heigani's situation. And though there's nothing saying Satoshi can't own a Jupetta himself, two major characters with the same Pokemon is an extreme rarity in the series (and even when it does happen, there's usually a connection between the two characters. Satoshi is Haruka's mentor, and their two Fushigidane have a similar relationship. Haruka and Musashi are sorta rivals, and though taking different evolutionary branches was predictable, they both ended up owning a Kemusso, nontheless. I don't see any connection between Satoshi and Harley).

Now, if you wanna talk about Pokemon types that Satoshi never had before, Psychic's the perfect case. A rather popular type, but the most he has is a Yorunozuku that can use psychic moves. If anything, I say he should've got that Banebuu, especially after he helped the damn thing find its pearl twice. It could've made great friends with Coatoise, too (god knows the poor guy needed some characterization and focus when he was on the team).
