Name: Esme-Rose Wells
Autumn Knight Alias: Smasher
Age: Nine
Gender/Pronouns: Female (she/her)
SyncCloth: Tinkaton
Team Role: Physical Attacker/Debuffer
Artes:
- Physical Arte 1: Gigaton Hammer - Esme swings her gigantic hammer to smash an enemy. This often knocks her over as well, and it takes her a few moments to stand back up.
- Physical Arte 2: Play Rough - Esme rushes towards a target, wanting to play, she misjudges her own strength and plays intensely and roughly. This has a chance to make the opponent less powerful, as they are less inclined to attack a little girl.
- Physical Arte 3: Fake Tears - Esme pretends to cry. Thanks to her young age and small appearance, this attack can often make opponents briefly drop their defences.
- Physical Arte 4: Thunder Wave - Esme slams her hammer into the feet of opponents, slowing their movement speed for a small period.
Appearance:
Esme-Rose is small in stature, thin, delicate, and pale. She stands a little over 4 feet tall, weighing approximately 65 pounds. She meets all the areas of being "average" for her age, and she will often make you aware of this fact. Her skin is pale, blemishless, and soft. She has thick blonde hair, sleek and smooth, that reaches down to her lower back --- it is often styled with some sort of cute bow or accessory that matches her outfit of that day. Her current favourite outfit involves her wearing her "candy bow", a baby pink bow that looks like it's covered in icing and sprinkles. Her eyes are large, probably her most noticeable feature. They're a dark amber, looking a mixture of red or pink depending on the lighting. She usually has a big smile on her face.
In terms of outfits, Esme-Rose likes looking "like a princess" in her own words. Big flowy dresses are often what she's seen in, and thanks to her well-off family, big flowy dresses are something she is certainly not lacking in. Her favourite is a baby pink dress, tighter in the chest and puffy in the sleeves, a traditional "princess dress" just like one of a certain movie company. She usually wears pinkish tights and small little sparkly princess shoes. She completes her look with yellow costume jewellery, often with cute animals on it.
In her SyncCloth, the first noticeable difference is that her hair completely changes colour, a bright magenta that parts into two long pigtails. A large bow rests front and center on her head, frills fanning out at the side. Her mouth becomes covered by a metal guard, protecting her identity. A pink bodysuit clings to her small frame, completely with pieces of pink armour with small hearts on them. The most striking part of her cloth is the massive grey hammer. It's a miracle she can even lift it, as it is larger than the small girl (almost double her size).
Personality: Esme-Rose is your average nine-year-old in terms of interests. She loves ponies, pink, princess, and other cute things. She loves to play pretend, and she loves meeting new people. She's outgoing, excitable, and she always has something to say. Curious about the world, she doesn't fully understand how everything works, especially in regard to Crimson and the Autumn Knights project that she has somehow now been assigned to, as such, she often asks questions and tugs on the pant legs of the taller adults.
+ Curious, Happy, Energetic, Friendly, Easy-Going, Lively
Esme-Rose loves interacting with new people, and her small stature and smiling face often make people more willing to talk with her at lengths. As she is a little girl, people tend to be a bit more patient with her and her slew of questions, as well her lively and bouncy nature. Truth be told, she's kind of become the beacon of "what we need to protect" for the Autumn Knights and affects a lot of their moral standpoints. She, of course, trusts her team and is normally happy and friendly around --- but sometimes her bouncing off the walls and bouncing from one topic to the next in a flurry can be a bit off-putting.
- Naive, Sheltered, "Pompous", Trusting, Reactive
Esme-Rose is a bit... too trusting. Regardless of the person, she has deemed most adults (or those older than her) as trustworthy and will often listen to what they say without hesitation. Crimson has been trying to grill the idea of the "bad" people into her head, but she's a bit too sheltered to get it. Esme-Rose had a sheltered upbringing, growing up with wealthy parents who catered to her every need and whimsy has made her a bit unaware of the true dangers that can lurk in unsuspecting places. While she is young, this naivety can present as an almost pompous attitude in some ways. As she had a wealthy upbringing, she just assumes that's how everyone was raised, and it can sometimes come across as though she's bragging. She can also be very reactive and aggressive if someone mocks her age, which often comes up in conversation.
History: Esme-Rose was born to the Wells Family, a rich and powerful family within New York, New York. Her father, a wealthy entrepreneur who owns many properties. Her mother, a writer who had a successful blog where she would write tips and tricks to encourage women to snag a "man like hers" (with some of the "big tips" hidden behind a paywall). Esme, at first, was a burden to the successful careers of her family, but, her mother especially, soon realized she could be used as a prop for her blog.
Esme-Rose became a poster child, becoming a social media star and her mother documenting every single moment of her life to millions through her writing and pictures on the blog. Her first steps, first words, and first use of the toilet were painstakingly written out for her mother's countless followers. This resulted in fame from a young age, with her mother getting book deals, advertisement offers, and of course, public fan meetups.
Esme was taught from a young age that all people are good people, so that she in turn would be receptive to people approaching her to get pictures. Esme also thought that this was normal, as she had no friends other than those her mother approved of (the children of other "mommy bloggers", just to get more writing content). She also did not attend school, instead being homeschooled by the best tutors that her father's money could buy. While he was usually not present due to his career, he would support through material goods, and anything that is daughter asked him for over the phone was given to her as soon as a drone could carry it to their home.
Being nine, Esme-Rose has gotten used to her "odd" life (which she assumes is completely normal) and is used to often repeating things she said when prompted, so that her mother can get an accurate blog post. After the cube appeared though, Esme's mother had to watch as men clad in suits took her daughter away for a "higher purpose", her husband told her not to argue as they took her little girl away. Truth be told, she was not concerned for Esme-Rose as a daughter, but more mourning her lack of content.
Extra: Esme loves both her parents, but other people will probably be concerned when she talks about them.
Name: Bradley "Brad" Sales
Autumn Knight Alias: Protector
Age: Twenty-Four
Gender/Pronouns: Male (he/him)
SyncCloth: Aegislash
Team Role: Mixed Role Tank
Artes:
- Physical Arte 1: King's Shield - Brad is able to protect himself from oncoming damage. His shielding is so precise that it drops the attacking prowess of the enemy that struck him.
- Mystic Arte 1: Wide Guard - Using his collective shields, he is able to shield himself and allies near himself from AOE attacks (or attacks that hit a wide range like blizzard)
- Physical Arte 2: Sacred Sword - Brad attacks with the sword he normally uses as a defensive pivot. While this is a regular slash, it can ignore any buffs that enemies have put up.
- Mystic Arte 2: Power Trick - Using his "cool gym meditation power", Brad can switch his defensive stat with his attack stat at will. (note: this can only be used once per battle, Brad is more defensive in general so this is his "last ditch effort" to go nucking futs and attack)
Appearance:
Bradley is a tall and imposing man. He stands around 6'2" and is built like a brick house. Massive muscles in his chest, legs, shoulders, and arms. If not for his warm, youthful face, he would be the type of man that many people would cross the street to avoid. He's a protein junkie and gym rat, and it's quite obvious by how well maintained his figure is. His face however, is warm, youthful, and bright. He is almost always smiling, with his large blue eyes often filled to the brim with warmth and emotion. While he looks "macho", he is pretty much inept at growing a beard, and as such just has spotty stubble (but he's proud of it, dammit!). His hair is short, dark brown, and a bit fluffy. It is often swept to one side with a pinch of gel so it doesn't get in his way while he works out.
For attire, Brad is very rarely out of his "gym-ready fit": a yellow tank top with a growling wolf emblazoned on it, torn sleeves, and of course, his black sweat bands on both wrists. Plain black athletic shorts, yellow running shoes with support wrap wrapped around his ankles, he is ready to drop everything and rush to the gym at a moment's notice. However, while working out, he often lets his pecs show, showing the degree of work that has gone into his body.
In his SyncCloth, Brad almost takes up the appearance of a burly medieval knight. His head is entirely covered by a golden mask with two small points jutting out the side, small slits being his eye holes. He has large, black, spiked shoulder pads, and he wears a long purple scarf, almost reaching down to his ankles. He has bulky golden armored gloves, which are always rested on a sword in a front of him --- long enough to touch the floor and a stark black and gold. He assumes the defensive position almost always in battle. His lower half has matching golden armored boots, and unless he has used Power Trick, he always has two golden shields floating on either side of him. (When Power Trick is used, one shield disappears and the other becomes a hand-held shield... think of it like his "Stance Change")
Personality:
+ Fun-Loving, Full of Energy, Positive, Loud, Assertive
Brad is the life of any party. He's full of spunk, always ready to start having fun, and one of the friendliest people you could ever bump into. While his physical appearance is massive, imposing, Brad is quite the opposite. He's a gentle giant, always full of laughs and smiles and almost never has a serious/angered expression on his face. His energy levels are unmatched, and he is almost always seen either at the gym, running around a park, or lifting weights in his garage --- friends of his have joked that he might actually have gym weights in his blood at this point. Brad is always the first to speak up in situations, and certainly is not afraid to when needed. He can often take a "leadership" role within the team when he feels it's needed, but he also does not want to overstep his boundaries or skirt on people's toes.
- "Ditzy", Mixed Priorities, Overly Protective, Flirty, Boisterous
Brad is... dumb. He has street smarts like you would not believe, but he is often at a loss for words in conversation and has trouble understanding pretty much any word-play and often needs joke punchlines explained to him. Sometimes to save himself embarassment, he'll just blank eyed stare at you before letting out a large laugh, hoping someone will move on before realizing that he may not be the brightest crayon in the box. While he joined Autumn Knights (well, was forced to), it's clear all his priorities are still elsewhere, and he often has trouble stayingn focused in debriefings/team meetings. Luckily, he always seems to have his eyes on the prize in battle. He can be very protective of other members of his team, especially those he grew close to.
Brad is a touch flirty, and he doesn't seem to have an issue flirting with boys or girls --- though, truth be told, it's a bit of his ditzy nature coming through. He does not mean to flirt, the way he speaks just comes across that way, as he's a tad blunt and often just blurts out the first thing on his mind.
History: Bradley comes from a single parent household, as his dad left not long after he was born. He was instead raised by his mother, and was raised closely alongside his younger brother: Alex. Alex and Bradley were Brenda's pride and joy, and she would do anything for her boys. Of course, being a single mother, life was not always easy, and Brenda often had to work two jobs just to provide for the needs of the boys and put a roof over their head. His father did nothing for his sons, even refusing to pay child support and bouncing to different countries to avoid his duty.
As soon as Bradley was old enough to somewhat comprehend that his mother was struggling, around the age of ten, he stepped up for her. Instead of making her pay for babysitters or daycares, he took to learning to cook or reheat small meals and take care of Alex while their mother hhad to work. It put a little stress off of Brenda, and she was grateful to her son. The two were especially very close, with Brad often remarking that his mother was his best friend.
As he got older, Alex was able to take care of himself, and Bradley got a job at fourteen to also aid his mother in helping the family, allowing her to drop down to a single job and spend more time with Alex and Bradley. Both of which were growing into fine young men, with Bradley being fourteen and doing well in school and at work, and Alex being twelve and excelling in Science and his piano lessons. Brenda was happy to be able to be more present, attending piano recitals and picking up Bradley from work every night. Around this time, Bradley also started going to the gym on his days off and the weekends, giving him his first taste of being a gym rat.
At seventeen, Bradley graduated. While there was nothing outstanding about his preformance in school, he did thank his mother for all she had done during a speech given by the football team (which Bradley was the quarterback of). He then went forward into security, getting a job as a mall security job, which he maintained for many years --- and still helped his mother.
Alex, being the smarter of the two and the more musically gifted, ended up graduating when Bradley was nineteen. He had a full ride scholarship to a music and arts school in Denver, and he ended up going, leaving Bradley and Brenda to themselves. With Bradley now an adult and Brenda getting older, the boy insisted his mother rest and he would figure everything out, encouraging her to quit her job and let him be the breadwinner. While she was hesitant and denied at first, after breaking a hip she relented.
Brad continued working out, and was just about to start a career with the local police academy when he found the cube. His mind still seems elsewhere though, perhaps worried about his career? Or worried about his mother, his best friend.
Extra: May have clicked from some of his description, but Brad is on the ASD spectrum (not super important, just character trivia) he is also Pansexual.
