What is your favourite battle Tactic?
Do you fight madly?
Do you Type trump?
Or do you go that little bit further & use move combos?
Post your combos here, or rate other peoples!

Examples:
Sunnyday, then solarbeam
Protect & Earthquake (Double Battle)
Lock-on, then Zapcannon (Or any other strong but innacurate move)
Encore, (On none attack move) then taunt
Rest with chesto berry

Rules:
Try not to post already posted ones.
No flaming
Please state inportant details such as if it's double battle only or if it's not tested
Follow the basic serebii rules.

Now my fave combo:
Send out Shedinja & a pokemon with skill swap,
Use skill swap on Shedinja & have shedinja use baton pass, to a sableye.
Skill swap with sable eye. Result Invincible pokemon. (Not tested, Double battle.)

Is this in the wrong section? Tell me & Ill pm a mod to move it. Ty

Espeon POWER!

Coral Eye Trainer
Well in training I go mad as if I were fighting a flying type and i was training a bug I wouldn't switch.
Also I give pokemon moves to fight off their weaknesses e.g Kyogre with thunder.
That also comes into my do not use list as I never ever ever use legandaries.

I also use this combo: Leech seed, Ingrain, Mega/Giga drain and useually a type weakness defender.

More coming up later.

The Benmeister

Master of Magnet
My favourite has got to be with Jumpfluff. My favourite moveset of it is Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Synthesis and Headbutt. Put to sleep, seed, use headbutt as a health lowerer and time waster. If the opponent wakes up and does mega damage, synthesis away! It helps with the legendary beasts and Lati@s, too, because it's speed isn't so bad either.

Strawberry.

Strawberry fields.
My dear Chansey. First I use "Toxic" then "Calm Mind." I continue to use Calm Mind and Softboiled when necessary. This set is guaranteed to kill anything.

Chansey

- Softboiled
- Toxic
- Calm Mind

Eversince I first caught and trained my precious Lanturn, I've loved using the Boltbeam strategy. Thunderbolt + Ice Beam= Clear up the remains with a magnificent surf. Works every single time.

I typically just type-trump. I don't pull an Ash and make a Caterpie fight a Pidgeotto, or Tauros fight a Metagross. I just attack with powerful moves like Ice Beam, and Surf, I don't bother too much with combos, since I don't have the patience to wait that long, which is also why I don't use stat-raising move very often.

Watergod

Master of mositure
I fight with no strategy at all. I just use whichever attack would do the most damage. I don't switch out, even if the Pokemon has no chance at all. This is simply because I only battle in-game and there is absolutely no need for strategy there.

I just fight/battle how I need. I don't like using moves like Calm Mind, Swords Dance and such, but I like only attacking moves. Here are some things I do and that work:

1. When Groudon is in field, Solarbeam works well and protects Groudon from water types.
2. My Kyogre always knows Thunder because it is 100% accurate in rain.
3. Lock On, and any move that has low accuary.
4. When in Double Battles, if I have a flying pokemon and the other knows EQ, I use it with no problem. :D.
5. When your opponent starts using moves with low PP, keep using Protect until his PP run down.

The Great Butler

Hush, keep it down
I use combos of attacks and abilities. For example, a Persian with Thunder Wave would be excellent to use against an Espeon, because Thunder Wave would Paralyze Espeon with no penalty---Espeon's Synchronize can't paralyze Persian due to its Limber ability.

Really, my style takes a little bit of everything---I always try to come up with combos that type trump, and once I have everything properly set up, I attack with no mercy.

Stay positive
I'm an idiot. XP I make all my Pokemon sweepers, give them a diverse and offensive movepool, and clobber my opponents' brains out. For example, my Latios can type trump a LOT of Pokemon in the Battle Frontier. It works until I run into either Snorlax, Chansey, Blissey, or Porygon 2. Then I die every time. XP

See, there have been a lot of times where I've tried Calm Mind/Swords Dance, but in that one wasted turn, I've lost. My team is built sort of where if I don't get the first hit, and OHKO, I lose. Usually I do get the first hit and OHKO, though...but only if all four moves are offensive.

Well I'm mody at battling realy but most of the times I use a moves that defeats the foe if the pokemon don't have any nor good states or something like this I use moves causing state proplems then I heal/protect/up grade my states/lower foes states & sometimes I use both so it depends.........

All-out offense, sometimes aided by stat-up moves or enfeebling, and covering as many weaknesses as possible.

Some things I like to do in battle are:

--Use Curse/Perish Song on a trainer's last Pokemon, or one that just used Ingrain, then just stall for a while until the opponent faints. In Sapphire, my Shuppet did this with the first five gym leaders--worked every time!

--In double battles, gang up on one Pokemon first, then use the two-to-one advantage to better overcome the remaining opponent. This strategy especially works against Liza and Tate, since their Pokemon tend to be a lot stronger when they're together. (Yeah, let's get rid of Lunatone first--all attacks on Lunatone! Lunatone: *whines* Hey, quit picking on me...)

--Put a Pokemon to sleep, then switch out. I like to do this when my Roselia or something finds itself up against a Fire Pokemon--just Grasswhistle, then switch to my Marshtomp without a scratch. Mwahahahahaha.

--Use Hyper Beam to KO a Pokemon, then switch out before the next one comes out. That way, you avoid having to recharge! (Of course, this only works if the battle style is on "Shift".)

--Use Minimize or something 6 times before attacking. It's so fun watching all the foe's moves miss!

--Let's say you have a Pokemon with Dig, Fly, or Dive, and you fight a lower-level Ditto. Wait until Ditto uses Fly, for example, then on the next turn have your Pokemon use Fly. Ditto's Fly attack will miss, and yours will hit the spot! I love doing this when I train my flying Pokemon on Route 15... Of course, this works with any opponent that can use these types of 2-turn attacks.

--When a really powerful Pokemon is out, and your last Pokemon almost KO'd it before fainting (like within 1HP--isn't that frustrating?), use a low-level Pokemon with Quick Attack. Most likely the foe will faint, and your Pokemon will gain a bunch of levels.

--In a double battle, when a really powerful Pokemon is out, have one Pokemon use Helping Hand, and the other use its strongest attack against the Pokemon. Talk about extra power!

--Against a Magikarp, use Disable to disable Tackle. Then it can only Splash! (This is good when you want to capture one.)

--Use Confuse Ray and Attract on a Pokemon. Now the foe has... what, a 25% chance of being able to attack?

--Use Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, etc. on Shedinja. This will burn or poison Shedinja, and when it loses HP due to those conditions, it'll faint! (They say only super-effective attacks hit, but in Net Battle, my Sableye was about to use Toxic when my opponent switched Pokemon. Shedinja came out and was poisoned. Then it fainted afterwards--how sweet!)

Leech seed is the best move in the game.

Venusaur@Lefties
Leech Seed
Toxic
Protect
Giga Drain

This works wonders in Emerald's Battle Frontier. Leech, Protect, Toxic, Protect, Giga, Protect, etc. Chances are you'll have more than 3/4 your HP left after the fourth turn, and they will have about a third. Venusaur can handle one attack from almost any AI trainer's Pokémon, including Charizard's Flamethrower, if you EV train right.

In a competative battle, I would definately have Sleep powder on there. In-game demands reliability, however, and they will not switch to save their lives.

Anyway, I like to pair that with a Calm Minding Chestoresting Gardevoir. If Venu gets taken out Garde can Calm Mind and heal every turn with Leech Seed, Resting if need be. Then he sweeps the 2-3 remaining Pokémon one he has 4-5 CMs up.

Another lovely Poke is Dunsparce. Body Slam and Headbutt will waste most non-resistant Pokémon pretty consistantly. On average you will get 3-4 flinches in a row. Ancientpower is a gamble but often worthwhile if they are incapacitated.

For double battles...I'm sure this has been done, but Salamence and Gyarados both with Earthquake. Double Intimidate to cripple, and double Earthquake to devastate. Rock Slides for fliers of course.

dddddddddddddddddddd
I only have strategy in the form of TMs. My Groudon can sweep my friend's Kyogre. It has Solarbeam to smash it if the weather effects work its way, and Thunder if vice versa. But I like having Smeargles with super powerful moves thanks to using Metronome and Sketch. I have a slower Togetic. It uses Metronome, the other Pokemon switches out to Smeargle. If the Mertronomed move is good, Smeargle uses Sketch on Togetic. If not, Smeargle gets switched out again. I had a Smeargle with Psycho Boost, Aeroblast, Sacred Fire and Volt Tackle once. :D
