• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Pokemon Black and White Confirmed Info Discussion [READ FIRST POST]

Oh, cool. I guess that means Groudon, Aggron, Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr, Mew, Tyranitar, Feebas, Milotic, Steelix, and Onix are dragon type due to their ability to learn dragon type moves.

I'm saying Treecko is as dragon-like as Charmander and Totodile, not that it's Dragon-type itself. Sheesh. How many pokémon you know that learn Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Outrage and even Dragonbreath? Except for Outrage, it's usually the reptilian, menace-looking pokémon that get them (and well, aren't dragons reptilian and menacing anyway?). Sceptile, along with Charizard and Feraligatr, clearly are more draconic than the other starters. And that's a pattern some people had noticed back in the pre-R/S era.

That's why I'm saying it's *possible* the other pattern that seems to have been created in RSE will confirm itself in 5th Gen with the Grass starter.

duh lol i wasnt saying that his moves made him dragon esque i was just pointing out the fact i consider sceptile to appear draogonish the same way from that list id count evryone on there as dragon esque except mew and feebas

Till all are One
Many people were surprised that there was no dragon-esque starter for gen 4. However, the one pattern that is still holding true is that the Grass starter is dinosaur like so that's something that I'm expecting.

When is the fifth gen coming out?
Later this year in Japan (as in not in a month or two, more than that =P), probably next year in english.

Guys don't argue about stuff here please. Also please keep speculation solely to these new starters if you really must but it's better you take that to the speculation thread. That's what it's there for after all... -_-

I forsee a poisonous water snake and a firey lion that will one day have wings.
I'm almost certain that the secondary types won't make another triangle. At most, I think it will end up like DPP's starters, where the secondary types even things out.

But we're only seeing silhouettes, right? No way they'd be showing the whole thing, this early...

if this is the case i would like to see

> fire/ghost
> grass/fighting
> water/psycic

Actually, Sceptile is a Dilophosaurus kind Pokemon not a Dragonish like Pokemon...

Sceptile's not really particularly Dilophosaur-like. You can honestly say the same for just about any theropod dinosaur, as they all share the same basic shape.

Really? Last I saw that Sceptile is a Dino-like Pokemon. At least not a
Dragon-like...

Sceptile does look like a dinosaur-esque Pokemon. At least it holds up the tradition for the dragon or dinosaur-esque starter each generation.

1. Charizard
2. Meganium
3. Sceptile
4. Torterra

Well at least it has more Dinosaur-looking...

Honestly, aside from Mew (who can learn any move anyway, big fail on your part...), most of those Pokemon have dragon-like characteristics.

That was a bad choice of Pokemon to pick...

I see them more reptilian than having characteristics of dragons as seen or read upon myths. I think it's difficult to label them because people have different views on how a dragon can look like. I don't see any of the creatures I labeled as dragons, whereas others may. I'll just leave it at that.

AND IT WAS THIS BIG!
So just to get things straight(for me mostly) this is what CoroCoro should be about mostly, right?
Definite:
Starters
Region Name
Zoroark Method of obtaining
A shitload of stuff we have no idea about yet.

In the Air
The professor to go with the starters
Character Art
New Poke-machine
Mascots
Shiny Beast use in BW
Region preview like Sinnoh

Well, it's in the Dragon egg group. The only other Pokemon in that are Dragon-types and its pre-evos (Kingdra, Horsea) Charizard, and Snake/Serpent-like Pokemon (Ekans, Milotic)

I don't remember anything mentioning we're getting the region name, tbh. However, I think it's rather likely that we will get it with the magazine.

When were we told about these two things? Region name is possible but I don't remember anybody ever saying we'd get the Starters for this upcoming issue.

I didn't mean that it's not dinosaur-like. It just doesn't seem to be based on any particular dinosaur.
