Pokemon Box question

To get Surfing Pichu do I need 1,999 pokemon from the same cart or can I use different carts? If it's from the same cart, how on earth am I going to get 1,999 pokemon?

Actually, it's 4,999 stored Pokemon to get the Pichu with Surf. As for guestion two, I think it can be different carts. I don't have it, so I may be wrong about question two.

Edit: I was way off. I was thinking that Box held 5,000 when it only holds 1,500. You were right the first time.

You have to put them all on Box, with pokemon from dirfferent cards, and then you have to put them all in your gba-boxes and back. all of them. take four or five free boxes on your card, then fill them with pokemon from box and then put them back to box. you must do that with all pokemon on box. i have a surf pichu, and two of my friends, too. it works.

I got it with a Gamecube pack, I got a gamecube, gba to gc link cable, pokemon colosseum with pokemon box and 251 mem card from Gamestation. I live in the UK, and I am told that this pack was available only in Europe.

Another question, can I copy my Box data from one memory card to another. I tried it on a Venom 4meg memory card (the card with the Box on is the same, both 3rd party GC cards), but it would not allow me to. Do I need an official Nintendo one or is Box just not copyable?

Box is not copyable. Nintendo's not stupid enough to let you clone hundreds of Pokemon at once.

Nope, as long as the Pokemon have been transferred to Box from the same cart in the end, you'll get the Pichu. They have to COME from the same cart, but they don't have to have the same Trainer ID, etc.

Bummer, I was planning to back up in case the card got corrupted, but never mind, I'll just put my best Pokemon on different mem cards/or game carts, thanks anyway.

It's actually 1,499 Pokemon that need to go onto Box. 60 Pokemon can fit into one box. Try hatching Magikarps if you want quick Pokemon without using Pokeballs.

I was going to hatch loads of pokemon which I want Shiny versions of until I get a Shiny. I'm gonna start with hatching Pichus, that is after I have bred all of the pokemon I have caught so I can have lv5 versions of them.

Then when Box is full, I'll just put them on my Ruby cart (which is my master cart) then transfer them back.
