Do the pokemon box sets that are coming out have the original openings and endings?

Also do can you choose to watch the japanese version or english version?

No one wishes to acknowledge that there is the Japanese version... So the box sets only come with the English version and the English subtitles. Unless you are really really lucky, then you get French subtitles. *shrugs*

So, nope. Only the English dubbed openings...

I don't think they have the original openings or endings, but my Advanced DVD's only have the english theme butchered for the ending. Speaking of boxsets, this reminds me, when the hell are the Advanced Challenge boxsets coming out?

There are no DVDs for the series that include Japanese audio and subtitles. 4Kids chooses to ignore the Japanese version all together. This is also because the DVDs contain the same edited versions of episodes you see on TV.

As for Advanced Challenge boxsets, not yet. The second Advanced boxset is to be released on August 22, 2006. Goes from "Which Wurmple's Which?" to "Watt's with Wattson."

*The only thing that's related to the Japanese version is the Japanese trailers bonused in the movie DVDs.

When PUSA starts dubbing, maybe they'll release bilingual DVDs. But as of now, no.

We can dream. I hope all those writing letters think to include this request as well.

There is a website that has all of the Japanese openings up for download. Since I'm not allowed to post it here, PM me if you want the link.
