Does anyone know if the baby of the two pokemon will still inherit it's moves from the fathers side? Because I know in the PKMN Crystal guidebook it says that if the father knows moves that the mother can learn from tm's then the baby pokemon will have it when it is born. But I'm not sure if this is true for Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

Also breeding tips would be helpful. ^_^

It's only the father. The baby gets moves inherited from the father (sometimes even if the mothers species can't learn it, naturally that is), and it inherits its mothers species.

Yes it will inherit moves.

Ex.

Male Tyranitar
- EQ
- Blizzard
- Thunder
- Rock Slide

Female Rhydon
- Horn Drill
- Take Down
- Rock Slide
- Dig

Baby Rhyhorn
- EQ
- Thunder
- Blizzard
- Rock Slide

The baby Rhyhorn will know Thunder, Blizzard, and EQ because it can learn those TMs. It will know Rock Slide because both the parents know it, and the baby can learn it.

a baby pokemon will hatch with a move as long as:

a) the father knows it, and the baby can learn it from a TM.
b) the father knows it, and the baby has it listed as an egg move.
c) both parents know it, and it's one of the baby's level-up moves.

if moves that fit the above criteria don't fill its moveset, it will know some of the moves it learns by level 5 by leveling up.

the only exception is pichu, and only sometimes. if either parent is holding a light ball, the pichu will hatch with volt tackle even if neither parent knows it. this only works if it was bred in emerald.
