Where's my fanfare?
Note: The term 'Advance game' refers to Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, and Leaf Green.
Q: What is Pokemon Colosseum?
A: Pokemon Colosseum is the first Pokemon game for the Gamecube that allows you to battle in 3-D. It is also the first ever 3-D Pokemon RPG.
Q: When is this game coming out?
A: Its already out in Japan. Americans can expect it on or around March 22, and the UK can expect it on May 14. No release info for Australians that I could find. Edit: Release date changed from 22nd to 24th
Q: Will I need a memory card?
A: Colosseum requires a memory card. The Japanese version came with one, but I am not sure if the English version will. Update: The American version does not come with a memory card, but appearantly, the European one will.
Q: Is it possible to copy the saved data from one memory card to another?
A: I don't believe so. I have tried with my Japanese copy and it didn't allow me to. The thing is that I have an American Gamecube, and use Action Replay's Freeloader to play, so you MAY be able to copy the data with the English releases. Update: Colosseum's save file CANNOT be copied, nor will you be allowed to remove the memory card, insert another memory card, and save the game on the new card.
Q: How many memory blocks does this game take?
A: 48 blocks.
Q: What Pokemon Gameboy games is Colosseum compatible with?
A: Any Advance game. Colosseum will not support Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and/or Crystal.
Q: What can I expect from this game compared to Pokemon Stadium 1/2/3?
A: All 386 Pokemon are usable in beautiful 3-D graphics. The environments are excellent. The music is new. Attacks look exponentially better than they did in Stadium.
Q: Is there a Gym Leader Castle?
A: No, there is no Gym Leader Castle.
Q: Will I be able to play any of my Advance games on my television using Pokemon Colosseum like you were able to do in both Stadiums?
A: No, if you wanted to play your Advance game on the television, you would need either a Gameboy Player or Pokemon Box.
Q: I have a <insert Pokemon here> that I got using <insert cheating device here>. Will I be able to use it in Colosseum?
A: No. No cheating device altered Pokemon will be allowed. Even if you beat Story/Scenario mode, you will not be able to use it.
