I remember picking it up expecting something closer to the main series and instead getting a chaotic racing game that felt more like a tech demo with Pokémon slapped on it. Still, there’s something kind of charming about how experimental it was, especially that early-DS era where Nintendo was clearly just seeing what stuck.

Was it one of those “played it once, never touched it again” games for you? Curious how people look back on it now.

I indeed played it once before years ago and then never again until a few years later.

Nothing more than a tech demo that isn't fun to play, has very little content on offer, doesn't look good (outside of the 3D Pikachu model from Channel being reused) and probably should have just stayed as that instead of being released as a physical release you had to pay money for.

Only notably for being the first Pokémon game on DS and nothing more.
