very srry for asking a noobish question, but i am not new to pokemon at all. A friend once said that ur pokemn can die if they faint to much in battle, and a funural is held at mt. pyre. The kind of stuff like that. The stuff that's so farfetched, but is so scary u get paraoid and begin to believe. Just to say i'm rly paranoid, so i guess that got me, also, i want to get a snorlax of latias icon below my name, like most of u got, how do i do that?

^There have been some cases of Pokemon dying. Just check out the Pokemon Funeral place in Lavender Town. Plenty of people mourning their departed Pokemon.

But in the games themselves? No. Ruins the whole "Fainting" side of battling.

There are a lot of contradicting answers here. In the anime pokemon caonnot die and they only feint in battle. In the video games trainers are mourning the loss of their pokemon in Pokemon tower and mt. pyre but your pokemon cannot die. I havn't seen the manga so I don't know about it.

if you look in pokemon adventures volume 4 red in lavender town comes across foji who lost his doduo and he was un able to burry the dudo in the tower due to ghost >.>
