Pokemon deaths

Pokemon die BUT your pokemon won't die. I mean, they die like every animal but your pokemon will be still alive, you may train them even 100 years and they won't die. They only faint. You don't have to worry then.

Accually, we live for about 300 years than we "dissappear"...why am I being dragged away?

Smogon sucks.
My theory is that if a Pokémon is damaged badly (like if it was shot or slashed up badly by a sword), it will die unless it is put inside a PokéBall within a certain time limit. Then it'll be back to normal after it is healed in a Pokémon Center. I think Pokémon can also die of age (with the exception of legendary Pokémon, which I believe lives forever), though their lifespans are generally way longer than that of humans.

What about that Cubone back in R/B/Y? It was supposed to be a ghost...

yes they can die but it involves rags, kerosene, a match and a blender for good measure.

also you can use power outlets, metal forks and a nailgun. the nail gun is also for good measure.

and dont get me started on napalm, fire and a rope

(your lati@s might fly into a brick wall really fast and then you see what happens from there. And dont let it fly during storms.)

Friendly POKéMON.
I'd say that in every other Pokemon franchise other than the games, Pokemon do die. Even in the games, pokedeath has its references. Personally, I've always gonme under the belief that by Pokemon law, no Pokemon can be forced to battle against its will or capacity, but OHKO hits (which are strictly prohibited) do kill the victim. Still, I'd never have any of it in the games. There's enough killing in the world already; why are people looking for more?

you have no imagination >.<

what about bashing its skull with its own bone club

That's perverted. What would you do if someone brutally murdered your mother? Bet you'd be crying your eyes out for all eternity.

your pokemon which you have cannot die, but in real life they can only die when they are badly hurt by a human(such as the cubone in RBY and FRLG) or if they are hunted and eaten by another pokemon in the wild

Pokemon dressup
metagross pins down pokemon and eats them
glailie freezes then eats them
their are many more but they dont happen to your pokemon.

But you could use a toxic waste drum(filled to the brim), a jet turbine and duct-tape

First of all, I'm not a "kid" I'm probably older than most of u.
Second, pokemon do have longer lifespans, but the thing is, when Ash catches a pokemon, there is no info how long it has lived, so what is goigng on? May acts like her Munchlax is a baby, but it's probably older than the whole tam combined!
P.S. I'm a boy, age 13, I'm not sure If I'm older, but I think I am, tell me off if I'm wrong :D

You're not older than me, but you sure act older than some older people in these forums.

Well, pokémon are individual. As we see, the babies are childish, and the older one's mature (except for Phanphy that evolved and remained being childish). I think Munchlax is a baby, it's just so...babyish. Ash's Pikachu should be quite young in the beginning, but as it grows up with him, it gets more mature and gets more experience from life. He even becomes like Ash after a while. With this I try to say that you most of the time can tell if a pokémon's age by studying it's behaviour.

Pokémon shouldn't have longer lifespans than humans in most cases, they actually die before their trainers do in Mt. Pyre and Pokémon Tower.
Poka, the Pikachu with ice blue eyes that the surfer had in the Kanto episodes had been with his trainer in about 40-50 years (and it looked aged just as it's trainer). I believe that's the oldest normal pokémon we see in the series.

I believe there is something wrong with that theory, o and srry i kno ur like 20 i checked a poll, what age r u poll/ I kno i'm yunger than u to, the meoth guy, i kno i checked. Ayway, look at certain pokemon's behaivior. Slowking always acts like that, no matter what age. Mew is childish, in like movie 8, but it supposed to be like 1000 years old. But mew is mew, I'ts just what he's like.
