For everyone who is held up on the loading screen, I was heaving the same issue then I hit the back button and reentered the dream world and it worked fine.
Im not sure if this will work for anyone else but it got me a shinx and 1 hour in a munna's dream.

Hi Shien, same for me. No chance for my German game.
Japanese are working now and I also realized the matter with the friends. They are gone. Afaik, you have to make new friends directly in the DW. You should request their friendship (it is the top left button when you are on somebody elses island). Check your door mat for footprints, you can visit these islands then and request friendship. But not really sure about this as my japanese is really (and I mean really) limited.

i feel really sorry for the people that cant get the page to load. That was the one problem i thought i would have and didn't! I was outstanded at my pathetic internet connection. It's slower than a turtle that hasn't slept in days and only has three legs going up a steep incline with the wind against it and a giant sail on it's back and it is raining... times 10.
