I now think the problem concerning the registration data processing is that something is keeping it from finishing processing. There are a lot of people with the problem who say they had signed up early yesterday, and it may be because of some update that was meant to go up today, and therefore wasn't present on the site yesterday, that has halted the data processing on some of the accounts and keeping it from actually completing.
It still updates every now and then with a few more Trade Pals. I'm up to four full pages now. Some of the new names I see are players who just signed up recently, non-Japanese PGL newbies, so I'm not certain by what rate or count it's filling my list; like I said, most of the people I've GTS'ed with were from Japan, which had PGL first, but they're not all listed yet, so there are some people just now getting PGL and signing up today who are having their names show up before them. Some people report having different amounts of friends show up in their profiles every so often, but I just get 2 or 3 every few hours, meaning that my game info may just be getting processed verrrrrry slowly compared to most everyone else.
OK new hypothesis: if you're stuck with the Fennel screen, and you did use the GTS a lot (partial proof being that you have a whole lotta dots on your Geonet globe), check how many people get added to your friend list whenever you notice it's been updated. If it's not a lot, then it may be that your reg. info is being processed much slower than everyone else. Not sure exactly what affects it, but it may be the telling point between people who have access and people who don't.
