Alright so I've been playing emerald for a few days now and I'm currently in sootopolis city right after the big confrontation with the three main legendaries. My team is currently:

Swampert lvl 48
Surf
Takedown
Earthquake
Muddy water

Gardevoir lvl 43
Psychic
Calm mind
Thunderbolt
Shadowball

Electrike lvl 33
Bite
Thunder bolt
Spark
Strength

And the usual Hm slaves to get around hoenn

Obviously my team sucks but my dream team for the e4 is

Swampert
Earthquake
Surf
Ice beam
Need something here :S

Put more water moves in swampert, manectric doesn't learn crunch and rock slide can be learned only by move tutor in the battle frontier, after the elite four

In emerald the best team for the elite four is

Rayquaza
Starter
Death fodder whose only purpose is to be KOd while using up their turns to heal the dragon if you made a careless mistake.

So your team is fine. Just take out the pokemon that pulls the least weight, or for that matter any is okay since rayquaza does their jobs better.
