Hey there Pokemon fans just wondering what you think of this question:Now that were up to the 4th generation of pokemon, how many more do you think they will make?

Really? That's the guy who made Pokemon from the beginning right?

I remember Satoshi Tajiri saying he had ideas for up to 7 generations at one time.

LOL - yeah, but there aren't very many New Pokemon, most are just evos or clones of older Pokemon and/or pointless.

I don't think there will be anything past this point...I like the first 3 generations because they have originality in them (besides Plusle & Minun being Pikachu clones)

Uh, the 2nd gen was pretty much exactly like this one: a bunch of extensions of old pokemon along with new pokemon.

And of course there will be a new generation with the money D/P is making.

I don't get wtf people are bitching about. Had the evos/pre-evos of the old Pokemon been introduced in the same generation(s) as their relatives, they'd be regarded as "new" Pokemon. Yet, because they wait until now to introduce them, Game Freak is deemed "uncreative", or accused of making "pointless" Pokemon. By that screwy logic, all non single-stage Pokemon are pointless.

Scary.
^ Yeah, but they didn't make them then, did they. They couldn't think of an actual new pokemon, instead making variations on an old one and making it part of it's evolution chain. God I hate them.

OnTopic:

7 or 8. They gotta make a new kind of storyline though.

Note how I said "Had they", which means "if". I didn't say that they did, smart one.

ALSO, all of the evolutions greatly improve upon their previous forms. Did you maybe think that they don't want old Pokemon to be forgotten, so they made new forms to make them still relevant and fresh?

And evolutions of old Pokemon introduced in this generation ARE "actual new Pokemon". We've never seen them before D/P, therefore they're new, regardless of their connection to old Pokemon. ;/

Ok then some good points there one thing i do hate is that they wait till the next generation to bring new evolutions out, i mean why don't they put the evolutions there in the generations in a line and then the next generation just add new lines, also ill make an exeption in the 2nd because that was when they introduced baby pokemon and breeding.

I have no problem with all these evolutiosn being added. If anything, it's good. Helps get underused Pokemon back into the game. With Mr. Mime's filter ability I can see him being used much more now. Electabuzz has had a surge in popularity due to Elekibble (or Eleking as I reckon he'll be called).

But then, there are soem stupid mistakes. PorygonZ has worse stats than Porygon2, wtf? Buuburn (Magmar evo) looks like a fat... ball. And they removed the Magmar's line defining beak, wtf? And who ever came up with how Lickitung evolves must've been a right idiot.

So quit your complaning about this gen. Overall, they did a good job fixing some bad lines. They needed to do it eventually.

On topic: They'll just keep going. Nintendo's goign to be around for a LONG time and so will Pokemon.

Agreed Pokemon will be around as long as there are soccer moms. Its obvious that Nintendo will at least squeeze out one more generation.
