Every time you level up, you'll get a bunch of Poké Balls. b)'')b

Also, there's the shop if you want to do things the easy way, but that involves actual money.

Any other Americans trying to play GO abroad? I'm an American who just downloaded GO while living in Japan for a few weeks. I can start up the app fine but there's nothing on my map. It loads but there's literally no features - Pokemon, poké stops, gyms, anything. Is this due to my American app/phone/account not interacting with the Japanese GO servers? And is there any way to change this?

Need some help. I got booted out of the server and I can't get back in. I didn't do anything wrong.

All I see are people complaining about the game. It. was. Just. released. Plus the servers are probably overloaded with people and its causing them to crash. they are probably working on fixing it as we speak.

I'm super hyped for its release.. It's a shame about the battery expenditure, but a workaround that I'm personally gonna do is use my old/spare phone purely for Pokemon GO (if it's able to run it) so that way at least all the battery will be going towards that for maximum usage.

But yeah, crashes right now should be expected really.. especially when Europe is added to the fray.

Anyone know what "powering up" does for some Stardust and a Pokémon candy? Wondering if I should do that instead of evolving a Weedle.

It actually increases a Pokémon's CP, which has to do with how well your Pokémon fares at a gym. Think of it like using a Rare Candy or a bunch of vitamins on your Pokémon. The higher the CP, the harder it'll hit.

Naturally, if a Pokémon evolves, their CP increases as well, so it's still worth it to evolve. It's just that it's also necessary to get your CP as high as possible via powering up your Pokémon if you plan to use it to take on gyms.

I'm having some issues. The servers for Pokemon Go are back up here in the us and running just fine. All of my friends are able to get on but i cant? It doesnt say the server is down or that it "failed to authenticate", all it does is just sit there when i try to log in and try to load and it just goes on forever and i have tried everything from reinstalling the app to restarting my phone and i'm getting really flustered because i am able to log into my trainer club account on safari so i dont have my information wrong

Flatmate comes home from work couple of days ago. Runs in screaming about this apps release. We announced to the rest of the household we were leaving them behind to travel the world and commence our pokemon journey. Proceeded to walk into 2 lamp posts and 1 person in the next half hour all for the sake of a couple of Zubats and a Pidgey.

Yes, maybe. But, tell me, Playing Pokemon Go or keeping a few 7-8 Pokemon in an account you cannot use; Which is good? If you can wait, try waiting for a day, maybe it'll log in.

When do you think they will update the game with other Gen 'mon? I'm assuming they will release a Generation at a time to keep things fresh but atm, I've had the app 2 days and I'm getting bored of seeing/catching the same 4 Pokemon all the time...I've had it since release and already have 1/3 of the dex completed, it will take about a month to complete it (minus the legends)

They should've released Gen 1 and 2 together, give it a couple months and release the 3rd, even though most people know Gen 1, Gen 2 is quite well known too since it came out 2 years after.

I'm just wanting more variety of Pokemon to catch, Weedle, Zubat, Pidgey and Drowzee's are getting me bored...
