Here it is English, but I've never seen it before (Like this).

1) It's fake, because the box says gameboy colour, and it's an original gameboy game.

2) I have it (for reasons i cannot discuss) and it's sort of english but VERY badly translated from the japanise version.

I dunno lol
It's either a pirated fake, or a fake image. I'll go with the second one, because the boxes have stuff all in the wrong places, and the boxes look too fake to be real. They don't glint in the light...Errr..If you know what I mean....

And obviously, it's not an authentic game. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Also, why the hell would it say 2004 on the booklet? -_-;

It is defiantely fake. Pokemon Green was only made in Japan, and it has stayed that way. :O

I also have one that is very badly translated 0_o. It has the same sprites as my Blue, and the opening says Pokemon GreenVersion and it starts with a Squirtle. It also is overall blue. So mine is definetly fake.

Probably? There's no probably about it. Numerous things are wrong.

1) The game was never released outside of Japan. that's the first big giveaway.

2) The box says 'GameUSA Color' - signature of Gameboy fakes. Plus, the game was a GB Classic game, like Red and Blue were so it wouldn't say 'GameBoy Color' even if it were real.

3) The box features the Gold/Silver logo. Why the hell...?

4) The cartridge is grey. All western Pokemon cartridges are 'colour coded' to that version (red is red, yellow is yellow, silver is silver etc. etc.)

5) The booklet says 2004, and the design is IDENTICAL to that of the fake box - in every way. And the manuals are never like that.

6) Transparent plastic inlay. They're always cardboard with the western GB Pokemon titles (I think the Japanese ones had transparent plastic though)

7) Also notice the curved groove at the top of the cartridge. On authentic cartridges it will say 'GameBoy(TM)' - go check one of your own games now to see what I mean. On this fake, there doesn't appear to be anything written in there - just blank. Although it's hard to tell since the image is kinda low quality.

I'd recommend checking out the guides section on eBay - there are numerous guides for spotting fake games, and I'm sure I've seen some for helping you spot fake Pokemon games (due to the huge popularity and amount of Pokemon fakes on eBay even today).

Wow, and some poor saps have actually bid on it too. Oo;

Yup, 100% fake. Sad that it never came to the US though.

It's the same game, though, as Red and Blue - what would be the point? The only difference is sprites, and the Green sprites are awful.

Not really sad - gives people (such as myself) an excuse to import a nice little collectable that hasn't been devalued because of being released elsewhere.

Means I have a nice little gem in my collection. :)

I ment sad in a nostalgic way(If that makes sense). No, there's not much of a differance between green, and red and blue, but is there much differance between red and blue? I've never seen green's sprites, but I'll take your word for it. xD

I mostly wonder why it wasn't brought over. Did they relize it was getting repeditive? *shrugs*
