Turtle Master
May's lover!
Veilstone
Zach stopped at the tree line and looked up at the warehouse. He had been watching it for days and knew that a pricy object was kept in there. Weave dropped next to him silently. “Are you ready Weave?” said Zach in his native Sneasel tongue.
“Eeh, no worries.” Weave almost looked bored as though he was a master since the Coronet theft. He ran off toward the building.
“Just don’t get cocky.” Zach took a deep breath and dup into his Dark energy. He pulled out a little piece and shrouded himself, making him invisible in the night sky. Hanging his camping gear on a nearby tree, he ran the short distance to the building. He pulled out a rope and handed it to Weave. Weave smiled as he braced himself then quickly climbed the old wall. He reached the top and, seeing no one, gave the rope a small tug. He braced himself as Zach quickly followed.
Zach took a quick breather to look around. The skylight he saw before was still there and a quick glance saw it was perfect. “ Weave, now.”
Weave stretched and with a burst of Agility raced to the skylight. His claw glowed as he dragged it over the glass digging through it. Instantly he grabbed it before it could fall, leaving a circular opening.
In a few minutes, Zach was safely in the shadows listening for any activity his entrance could have caused. Assured that he was alone he snuck from crate to crate toward the prize. He finally saw it sitting against the wall on a small pedestal. It shone in the little light there was. The Dusk Stone, The Beauty of the Night. And now its mine. He snuck along the wall and picked up the small black stone.
“Marvelous thing, don’t you agree?” Zach froze at the sound of a voice and turned slowly to see a man there.
How’d he sneak up on me? He pulled out his swords and in a flash had them fully extended at the man’s chest. A growl rippled out of his chest.
“Are you going to kill me? It’s pointless really. That stone has no value to me. But what do you want it for.” A puzzled look crossed his calm face. “You are a peculiar young man, more pokémon than human. Perhaps my boss will be interested in you. Just one more thing, don’t have your weapon fully extended.” With a daft kick Zach’s hands were pushed aside and the man punched Zach across the face, making his glasses fall to the ground. “Golbat! Supersonic!”
Zach stood only to be hit by a high-pitched sound. He turned to see a giant bat, mouth wide, flapping its sound at him. His eyes glowed as the Dark energy surged through him and into his blades. He roared as the blades slashed at the bat. Zach stood back to see the bat had multiple slashes through it wings as the sound faded. He turned to the man again. “Now…” A flash of light interrupted him. He turned to see the bat rise up not as a Golbat but a Crobat. However when it tried to fly it fell. Its wings were mere stubs and couldn’t hold its weight.
“What did you…?” But he was silenced as Zach rammed his sword into the body of Crobat, which quivered then laid still. Zach rushed over and grabbed his glasses from the floor than ran to the rope. He glanced back to see the man observing the dead pokémon then ran faster. A single tear ran down his face and hit the ground.
