Japan has a lot of anime competition. Where as in the US... Pokemon is one of the strongest franchises based on anime/game.

old and new fans rejoice in this wonderful creation.

But I heard that in Japan, even adults play Pokemon and watch the show still.

Pokemon is just as popular in Japan as it is in the States / every other part of the world. If anything, its probably more popular in Japan.
